It will suit someone with already well developed administrative and communication skills who seeks a fun, small team working environment where they can add value and use their initiative OR someone with less experience, wanting to learn and develop a diverse range of business skills. We will employ attitude over skill.
The areas of responsibility will be:
- Servicing of general inquiries
- Office administration
- Membership administration
- Daily bookkeeping
- Database management
- Meeting & event organisation
- Social Media posting and monitoring
- Website maintenance and updating
- Marketing administration
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

- Motivated, outcome focussed, with a positive, ‘can-do’ mind set.
- Enjoy working across several areas of a business on shared goals.
- Enjoy achieving goals and celebrating success.
- Manage multiple tasks.
The skills required include:
- Highly developed and confident verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional written skills (subject to the level of experience).
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) & database management
- Social media engagement & metrics across the key platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn)
- Organisational skills, the ability to set and work to deadlines and manage multiple tasks
- Website management, marketing, desktop publishing and editorial skills will be highly regarded.
- Experience in the marine sector and/or an interest in boating would be useful but is not necessary.
You will need to be vaccinated and have a willingness to maintain vaccination currency.
We will consider experienced administrators who can add value or more junior administrators with a sound skill base who are motivated to build their skills through learning and application. This will be a fun and rewarding job where you will have the opportunity to add value according to your skills.
