Gineico PuRO Onboard Water Purity System

Gineico Marine has introduced PuRO, an onboard water purification system designed specifically to treat dock water before it enters a vessel’s holding tanks.

While many vessels are equipped with watermakers for producing fresh water from seawater, dock water remains a regular source of onboard supply when vessels are berthed at marinas.

Depending on the location and local infrastructure, that water can vary in quality and may contain sediment, chlorine, fluoride, bacteria, micro-plastics, heavy metals or other unwanted contaminants.

PuRO has been developed to address this part of the water supply process. Using reverse osmosis technology, the system is designed to purify marina or municipal water before it reaches the tank, helping improve the quality of water used for drinking, cooking, showers, laundry, ice makers and general onboard use.

The system is built in Italy using 316 mirror-polished stainless steel and has been designed for permanent onboard installation or mobile dockside configuration.
