Every steering wheel project is a collaboration between the OEM and Schmitt Marine engineers. Digital renderings provide the builder with a realistic idea of how the final wheel will appear on the boat’s dash or console. Plus, company reps can provide samples that demonstrate the Torcello Elite’s robust construction and high-end appearance.
The 35.5cm polyurethane Torcello Elite is all about customisation. Marine-grade synthetic leather and thread are available in a wide assortment of colours and hand-stitched for a premium hand feel. The three stainless steel spokes can be polished or anodised black and are solidly connected to the rugged wheel rim. A selection of centre caps are offered and can be customised with the OEM’s logo. To accommodate a wide range of steering components, the Torcello Elite is available with a 19mm tapered or optional splined hub.
