AIMEX has signed a five-year agreement with the City of Gold Coast

The Australian International Marine Export Group (AIMEX) has signed a five-year agreement with the City of Gold Coast to partner for the annual ASMEX Conference and Marine Industry Awards which are historically held in May on the Gold Coast.

ASMEX, hosted by the Australian International Marine Export Group (AIMEX) is the flagship industry conference for the superyacht, commercial industry and marine export sectors in Australia and is held annually preceding the popular Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show. With planning already underway for the next ASMEX, being the 11th annual conference, the event continues to maintain its reputation for providing quality industry information, topical discussion and valuable networking opportunities.

The highlight of ASMEX is the Marine Industry Awards Gala Dinner, a celebratory evening that recognises outstanding achievers in the Australian superyacht, marine export and commercial industries.

The City of Gold Coast, a Platinum member of Superyacht Australia, has been a valued major partner of both the ASMEX Conference and Awards since its inception in 2011. The partnership underpins the key focus of ASMEX to promote the Gold Coast region, Queensland and the nation as a key cruising destination, highlighting the excellent refit and repair services plus the wide range of quality superyacht commercial and leisure boating products and services available in the Australian market.

Jeremy Spear, President of the Australian International Marine Export Group says “this commitment to a longer-term partnership is significant as it cements an already strong relationship between AIMEX and the City of Gold Coast. We are looking forward to further maximising the opportunities the five-year partnership offers to industry, the region and further afield.”

City of Gold Coast Mayor, Tom Tate said, “The marine industry on the Gold Coast continues to expand. It is rapidly becoming one of our top tier industries, employing thousands of locals.
