Cruisers Headquarters, now open on the Gold Coast

The ever evolving Boatyard & Marina, The Boat Works has this week welcomed yet another dimension to the 55 acre comprehensive resort for your boat.

Opening a dedicated 5,000-square-metres of additional hardstand especially for the cruising community only.

Welcoming the opportunity for the cursing community to not only cruise together but a chance to now work together on the Hardstand.

The footprint will accommodate up to 16 cruising catamarans and monohulls. This workspace is ideal for cruising yacht owners to undertake their own antifoul and repaid work, gathering with like-minded sailors and complete with a liveaboard lounge, ensuites, free laundry and even a courtesy car.

“It’s the ideal ‘Cruising HQ’ for cruising customers who can meet others from around the region and the world, take advantage of the fresh produce growing on-site, bathrooms, laundry, recycled water plus access to the Super Chandlery and access to all the trades and resources in the Marine Precinct,” says Shane.

The Boat Works lay claim to being the country’s cleanest and greenest shipyard, investing in and implementing innovative technology and stringent processes in place to protect the land, air and water.

The Boat Works’ owner and CEO, Tony Longhurst said his aim is to create an oasis for owners, crew and the local community through environmentally-friendly enhancements.

“This ethos underpins everything we do here,” said Tony. “Our customers, owners and visiting crews are the beneficiaries of this commitment to the highest standards, but it’s the River and the environment that benefit long-term.”
