Better Boating Victoria boat ramp progress

Better Boating Victoria have a multitude of projects underway at the moment and a summary in regard to them can be seen at the BBV website. At the time of writing projects are complete, or progress continues at Warrnambool, Hastings, Lake Bullen Merri, Queenscliff, Point Richards, and many more locations.

BIAV CEO Steve Walker to got away from his desk earlier this week and had a look at the outstanding improvements at Rhyll on Phillip Island. The site is opposite BIAV member Phillip Island Marine, and the improved facility has two new safe and spacious floating pontoons, three ramps, fish cleaning, improved traffic flow, a sleek modern look, and improved surfacing. Locals and tourists spoken to on site were really happy with what has been delivered.

BIAV is really keen to keep working with BBV and to see the progress of the Rec Boating Action Plan to improve boat ramps around the state. Victoria’s 200k fleet is 95% trailer reliant, so these boat ramp facilities are a massive priority for boaters and the industry, and BIAV will stay right on the case.
