Zhik’s new Broadside Coat, longer in length than most shore jackets, is a refined hooded coat which will take you from wet days along the marina boardwalk to urban living and commuting.
Fully waterproof and windproof, the breathable outer Vecta fabric uses Heiq XReflex an innovative radiant barrier technology added to the fabric that reflects body heat inwards. The outer fabric also repells rain and spray with Zhik’s XWR fluorocarbon-free water-shedding coating.
By increasing the garments heat retention properties with the XReflex radiant barrier technology, it means the Broadside Coat uses 50% less insulation fabric, which in turn reduces overall garment bulk and uses less resources overall.
Inside the coat, Repreve recycled insulation fabric adds a low-profile, cosy and warm lining. Leading the market in recycled performance fibres, Repreve is made from 100% recycled materials, including post-consumer plastic bottles and pre-consumer waste.
The Broadside Coat has an insulated waterproof hood, handwarmer pockets and side vent openings making it easy to reach trouser (pant) pockets and for sitting down. Magnetic Mag-zips make for simple locating and fastening the front zip, which is protected from the elements by an adjustable outer placket. Gusseted wrist seals also retain body heat and keep the weather out.
