Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) 2023 has had an exceptional response to the opening of exhibitor applications, with 80% of show space already booked and organisers anticipating the event to be sold-out well in advance.
In just the first week of exhibitor applications, SCIBS 2023 doubled the applications received for the previous year, setting the stage for a blockbuster year when the Show returns from 25-28 May 2023.
Presented by Mulpha Events, SCIBS 2023 will again feature a showstopping line-up of exhibitors across everything from superyachts and trailer boats to the latest marine gadgets and must-have technology, as well as a raft of exciting new launches.
Among the premium brands taking prime position on the water for the 34th annual SCIBS event are Axopar, Grand Banks, Horizon, Maritimo, Multihull Solutions, Ocean Alexander, Palm Beach, Princess, Riviera, Short Marine and Sundance Marine.
Bringing the latest and greatest in trailerable boats, watersports and inflatable craft are the likes of AMC, JSW Powersports, Northside Marine, QMC, Sirocco Marine, Suzuki, TR Marine, Volvo, Whittley Marine Group and Yamaha, all already on board for SCIBS 2023.
Taking their place in the Pavilion, showcasing the latest in marine gear, gadgets and high-tech innovations are industry leading brands
including Akzonobel, Boating & RV, Club Marine, Dometic, Garmin, Navico, Quality Marine Clothing, Raymarine, Stella and Vetus-Maxwell.
Mulpha Events, General Manager Johan Hasser said after the phenomenal success of the 2021 and 2022 events, SCIBS has seen an enormous demand from premium boating brands lining up to showcase their vessels and products at the 2023 Show.
“SCIBS brings together the very best of the boating lifestyle we love in one very special location,” Mr Hasser said. “Mulpha continues to invest in SCIBS and Sanctuary Cove, with additional marina berths, venue upgrades and an enhanced VIP offering, so it is no surprise that we have already received a record number of exhibitor applications for the 2023 Show.”
Director of Horizon Yachts Australia, Mark Western, has chosen SCIBS 2023 to release its new model, the V74, to the Australian market.
“The V74, whilst smaller in length than most Horizon vessels delivered into Australia, is market leading in terms of overall volume, for its size. The Horizon V Series is a breakthrough in style and functionality and offers an intelligent layout, a modern take on a classic design” Mr Western said. “We are excited to be showcasing it at SCIBS 2023. The quality is exceptional, the price is competitive, and we believe it is going to prove a very popular offering.
“We remain focused on the 70-80-foot motor yacht market. For buyers, the benefit is that they own a smaller vessel (in the Horizon range) whilst accessing the technology and the build quality of a much larger vessel. Add to this the fact that most new builds are available within 12 months, and of course, this V74 will be available straight after the boat show!

Queensland Marine Centre (QMC) will join the SCIBS line-up again in 2023, showcasing a host of new products, with some models never before shown in Australia.
QMC Managing Director, Andrew Bennett said “We will also have a great display of Sea Ray and Boston Whaler products, supporting the latest outboards from Mercury.”
Among its offerings, QMC will showcase the all-new Iguana X100 Amphibian, Sea Ray’s all new 370 Sundancer with a twin V12 Mercury, the new Boston Whaler 280 dauntless, the Mastercraft XT 20, the Crest Caribbean RS 250, and two 27ft Dorados by Sailfish USA.
2023 will see boating and fishing retailers Northside Marine celebrate 30 years at SCIBS. Sales manager Bill Hull says the company is bringing a fantastic array of products to this year’s Show, including some Australian firsts.
“We will be showcasing the 1295 Merry Fisher – the first one in Australia, as well as a range of Jeanneau, Surtees, and four new Stabicraft models on display.”
Also returning to SCIBS for another year is Navico, bringing some of the industry’s leading brands in boating navigation solutions, state-of-the-art technology and intuitive systems.
Navico’s Brad Verkerk said the company will feature a host of products at SCIBS 2023 that have never been seen in Australia including the Lowrance HDS® PRO, the ultimate fish finding tool; Lowrance’s highest resolution live sonar, the ActiveTarget 2; and a new radar from Simrad.
Since launching in 1988, the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show has evolved to become Australia’s largest boating showcase featuring more than 330 exhibitors, 600 boats on water and land, over 1,000 marine products and attended by more than 45,000 visitors.
