Superyacht Australia hosts another epic “Endless Summer Party”

Superyacht Australia has once again hosted what is now hailed as ‘the legendary end of summer charter season superyacht crew party’. Held on the sparkling waterfront in Rushcutters Bay on Sydney Harbour to celebrate the end of a busy charter season, the “Endless Summer Party” is so named to signal when the majority of superyachts and crew will head north in the coming months to cruise the waters of Queensland, the Great Barrier Reef or go deeper into the Pacific to enjoy the islands of Vanuatu, Fiji, Tahiti, PNG and Indonesia, whilst following the warmer winter weather.

The Endless Summer Party was sponsored by several Superyacht Australia members, including Benetti Yachts, City of Gold Coast, Pantaenius, Jones Bay Marina, The Yard Brisbane, Onboard Engineering, Superyacht Crew Academy, Sydney City Marine, Quality Marine Clothing.

Quality Marine Clothing sponsored the Best-Dressed competition with an “Under the Sea” theme and crews responding by going ‘all out’ on their costumes determined to win this coveted competition.

M/Y Quantum took third place in their nothing short of spectacular, sailor costumes. Second place went to the crew of M/Y Tango with the captain leading the charge in a blow-up lobster costume, with the rest of the crew following suit covered with glimmering sparkles and everything shiny.

However, it was the winners of the overall competition, M/Y Glaze, who truly stood out with their incredible underwater-themed costumes with a mix of lobsters, Nemo and even Poseidon himself.

David Good, CEO of Superyacht Australia said ”This was our fifth ‘Endless Summer Party’ and it was again a huge success. It’s really important for the industry to acknowledge and celebrate how hard the crew work each season, especially with the charter market growing at such a rate.

“These young modern seafarers are the future of our maritime industry and we are supporting them plus we are keen to encourage more young people to also join the industry as crew. Superyacht Australia would also like to extend a big thank you to all the sponsors and attendees for making this event such a success.”
