Vale Jack Beattie

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the untimely passing of Jack Beattie, 26.  Jack was known by many within our industry for his work as a creative video producer, director, cameraman, photographer, editor, and drone operator.

Jack worked as a contract producer for Club Marine TV up until early last year and was a lead videographer for such respected television shows as What’s Up Downunder as well as working on live coverage of entertainment and sporting events.

He also pioneered live coverage of events for Club Marine, such as the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, where he worked with presenters around the clock to produce coverage of new model releases as they happened.

His father Chris said, “I was extremely proud and privileged to be able to work with my only son Jack as we developed Club Marine TV and he became incredibly well-liked and respected by leaders in the marine industry for his dedication and commitment to his craft.”

“So many have reached out to me since his passing to express their affection and respect for him and the family is incredibly grateful for their kind words”.

He passed suddenly on the Gold Coast on April 8 and will be sorely missed by his family, including Mother Vicki, Sister Jess, and Father Chris.

His family has asked that anyone who knew him mark his passing by making a donation to the Black Dog Institute, www.blackdoginstitute.org.au.

Vale Jack Christopher Des Beattie, 1997-2023.
