BRP is pleased to announce the signing of Rugby League champion, Latrell Mitchell, as an Ambassador across their Can-Am and Sea-Doo brands.
A self-confessed adrenaline junkie and lover of the outdoors, there is obvious synergy with BRP’s signature powersports and agriculture utility brands. During the off-season, Mitchell spends his time between the water and his farm in Taree, allowing him to switch off from the pressures of Rugby League and spend quality time with his family and the local community. “I just love everything that Can-Am and Sea-Doo stands for; family and sharing the great outdoors.” Mitchell says. As a role model for young Australians, his goal is “to teach young Australians about the vital role the land and water plays for our future”.
Mitchell is fortunate enough to live near a number of different waterways where he can enjoy “the freedom of getting out on a personal watercraft”. Sea-Doo has always been an aspirational brand for Mitchell, known for its market-leading innovation and performance. Fishing is another passion of Mitchell’s and cherishes time out on his new Sea-Doo Fishpro Sport. Not only does it allow him to enjoy some much needed downtime, it’s something he can share with his family and the community. It’s a way to connect and teach lessons to the next generation.
Mitchell’s farming journey started early in life, he and his Dad had a dream of starting their own Angus cattle farm and he was able to turn this dream into a reality when he purchased a block of land near his home town Taree, NSW. With its agility, power and reliability the Can-Am Defender, enables Mitchell to get around the farm and tackle tasks with ease.
Not only is it an impressive utility vehicle, it is a great family vehicle too. Whilst the farm is a place to come home to and reconnect, it’s sharing the moments on the land with his family and the community that is most important to Mitchell. He hopes that he can build something for his kids to enjoy and pass on to future generations.
Latrell Mitchell, a name synonymous with excellence in the Rugby League world, has consistently demonstrated his remarkable skills and sportsmanship, earning the respect and admiration of fans worldwide. His journey in the sport has been marked by an impressive display of talent, having represented not only his team but also his Indigenous heritage (Mitchell is a Biripi and Wiradjuri man), state, and country, embodying the essence of unity through diversity.
