Celebrating Success – International Marina of the Year

On Tuesday 6 May, the industry gathered to celebrate the best of the best in the 2025 Nautilus Marine Insurance Marina of the year awards.

In this series, we celebrate the those that were recognised as finalists and winners of each award.

International Marina of the Year

Winner – Dubai Harbour Marina

Dubai Harbour Marina is located at the intersection of the iconic Palm Jumeirah and Bluewaters. The marina offers exceptional infrastructure and amenities, featuring more than 700 berths for yachts up to 160m.

With luxurious amenities, a strong sense of community, it attracts visitors, tourists, thrill-seekers, and boating guests. The marina utilises cutting-edge technology that has enhanced convenience and efficiency with tools like a Mobile App, digital member cards, and digital contractor access. Last year Dubai Harbour Marina was received the Innovation Award at the Abu Dhabi Maritime Awards 2024.

Highly Commended – Westhaven Marina

Westhaven Marina is a short walk from Auckland’s city centre. Westhaven Marina offers outstanding facilities and stunning views of the Waitematā Harbour.

Westhaven has over 1,800 berths and is the envy of every marina… some 1,750 car parks.  The marina also has some pretty amazing facilities including customs/ immigration facilities, commercial pick-up/drop and a four-lane public boat ramp. There is also chandlery, dining, and event spaces.

Finalist – Half Moon Bay Marina

Half Moon Bay Marina is located in East Auckland, New Zealand, on the Tamaki River. The marina offers a range of facilities that includes over 500 berths, a boatyard with haulout services and marine trades, amenities that include cafes, restaurants, bars a shopping complex with a supermarket, medical facilities, childcare centre and even a gym.

Half Moon Bay remains committed to continuous improvement, it is dedicated to improving the customer experience and in line with the best environment practices in the industry.

Finalist – Brunswick Landing Marina

Brunswick Landing Marina is in historic downtown Brunswick, Georgia USA. The marina offers an excellent hurricane refuge because it’s protected by land on three sides plus excellent access to the Intracoastal Waterway and Atlantic Ocean.

Family built, owned, and operated, business across three family generations. The marina boasts 383 berths accommodating vessels up to 250 feet long, 100 hardstand spots alongside modern facilities.

Finalist – Nawi Island Marina

Nawi Island Marina is nestled on a small island not far from Fiji’s second biggest island of Vanua Levu. The marina was constructed according to Australian standards and is certified to withstand up to a Category 5 cyclone.

With 132 berths including superyachts up to 85m it has full service toilet and shower facilities, a sea plane dock, fuel jetty, 24-hour security, 240-volt single phase and 415 volt 3 phase power, 400 Amps available, laundry services, high speed internet and restaurant & bar. It is a peaceful and relaxing marina with supportive and customer focussed staff that serves as a home away from home for boaties exploring the pacific.
