This National Championship will bring together top-ranked match racing teams from across the country to compete in a thrilling head-to-head format renowned for its fast-paced, tactical sailing.

“We are thrilled to host the Australian Open Match Racing Championships and showcase Perth’s exceptional sailing conditions,” said Travis Burtenshaw, Boating Operations Manager at Royal Perth Yacht Club. “This event offers a fantastic opportunity to highlight the skill, precision, and competitive spirit that defines match racing on a national stage.”

From 9-12 September, the 2025 Australian Women’s Match Racing Championship will take place at the Fremantle Sailing Club. With the 4-day regatta being hosted in September, the conditions will be ideal to showcase the very best of Australia’s female sailors on the west coast of Australia.

“We look forward to welcoming competitors and their family and friends and spectators to Fremantle, Western Australia.” said Craig Evans, CEO, Fremantle Sailing Club.

The final regatta will take place on 23-26 October with the city of Hobart as a backdrop. The Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania will host the 2025 Australian Youth Match Racing Championship after successfully hosting the regatta in 2024. The event is open for teams aged under 23.
