Molabo, the manufacturer of the world’s most powerful 48 V electric drive systems for boats, has announced a new distribution partnership with De Stille Boot, a leading supplier of electric and hybrid propulsion solutions in the Netherlands. This collaboration strengthens Molabo’s European expansion and brings its innovative low-voltage systems to one of the most forward-thinking boating markets in the world.
The Netherlands has a rich boating tradition, with waterways filled by everything from sloepen (open motorboats for canal cruising) and steel motor cruisers to houseboats and historic sailing barges. This wide variety of vessels, both classic and modern, makes the Dutch market ideally suited for Molabo’s flexible 48 V systems.
Renowned for its focus on clean, quiet, and efficient propulsion, De Stille Boot specializes in guiding boatbuilders, shipyards, and private customers on their path to electrification. Adding Molabo’s modular 48 V systems to the De Stille Boot portfolio gives Dutch boaters access to safe, powerful, high-efficiency electric propulsion without the complexities of high-voltage systems that require special certifications, tools, and equipment for installation, service, and maintenance.
Molabo’s fully integrated ARIES 30–50 kW inboard and outboard electric drive systems deliver powerful propulsion at low voltage, enabled by the company’s patented ISCAD technology. ARIES systems offer comprehensive energy management, remote service and maintenance, range extension via renewables or genset integration, and compatibility with battery banks from top manufacturers including Mastervolt and Victron.
“We see great potential for Molabo’s 48-volt technology in both new builds and conversions, because it can power a wide range of vessels well-suited for electrification,” said Anton van Wijk of De Stille Boot. “There’s a twin system powering an 84-passenger solar-electric commuter ferry, and the same drive powers an ultra-fast, lightweight Formula 4 race boat. Molabo’s systems have proven to be safe, easy to maintain and repair, and ultra-reliable, with thousands of operating hours already in the field.”
“We’re excited to welcome De Stille Boot to the Molabo partner network,” said Adrian Patzak, COO of Molabo. “Their technical expertise, customer focus, and deep roots in the Dutch electric boating community make them the ideal partner to bring our technology to more boats and waterways across the Netherlands.”
The new partnership is effective immediately. Customers in the Netherlands can now contact De Stille Boot for system consultations, sales, and service.
