The Whitehaven Harbour Classic 52 extends the pinnacle of the yachting experience.
Drawing on the spirit and originality of design of the celebrated Harbour Classic 40, the larger, more evolved stable mate, the first Harbour Classic 52 will soon make her debut.
Embodying the custom-crafted ethos of Whitehaven Motor Yachts, the HC52 has reimagined the elegant “gentleman’s cruiser” with a more commanding presence, greater space, and enhanced performance.
A modern classic, already in motion, construction is underway and fully specified, due for arrival in November.
The HC52 is unmistakably Whitehaven: bespoke in every facet, timeless in form, and uncompromising in execution.
Envisaged for those who seek soul as much as style, the Harbour Classic 52 is the platform for owners to escape routine and savour the moment. Its gracious lines and retro-modern silhouette echo a golden era of design while embracing every modern amenity.
The HC52 is light years apart from competitors, with its extended entertaining zones and deck spaces, a large, mid-level galley with switch-glass (photoelectric) function for separation, an abundance of refrigeration and storage, and designer features and finishes infused into every fastidious detail.
The two spacious cabins – a luxurious master and VIP with ‘scissor bed’ queen for versatile accommodation – are complemented by two large ensuites of remarkable dimensions, and interiors replete with the highest-quality materials selected for the ultimate in comfort and aesthetics.
Setting a new benchmark in the category, the HC52 boasts a fully integrated tender garage that will accommodate a 2.4-metre RIB with outboard, and next-generation, push-button launch-retrieval system to deploy at a moment’s notice. The design brief
centred around being able to launch the tender to fetch guests and provisions, or take the dog to the beach and back at a moment’s notice with minimal effort.
This smart integration preserves the vessel’s clean lines and frees up deck space for entertaining and gazing at passing panoramas.
Superyacht features enhance the HC52 with elevated style and function. Discrete Venturi air-conditioning vents have been meticulously engineered throughout the vessel, while glazing, electric skylights and floor to ceiling sliding doors illuminate the impeccable craftsmanship in the saloon and cabins. At the helm, the prestige automotive cues are amplified in the ergonomic dash, leather chairs and sophisticated nav package.
Anchor and engine cameras are installed and superyacht-standard insulation in the engine room mitigates noise and vibration.
HC52 #1 is powered by twin Scania DI16 V8 engines that offer 800 hp (588 kW), the HC52 delivers performance coupled with reliability and fuel efficiency, and the large engine room has ample space for an owner’s choice of watermaker, stabiliser and other equipment.
On deck, the cockpit is the entertaining hub, and the foredeck is the ideal uncluttered leisure space, thanks to the ingenious garage. Only the cockpit dining table is timber, so your HC52 is a low-maintenance getaway craft for stress-free boating.
“Feedback from Harbour Classic owners and our Whitehaven network identified a niche for a larger iteration of this premium motor yacht,” explained Whitehaven Director, Bruce Scott.
“We spent a lot of time considering the sunken galley, which can be open if you wish to be a part of proceedings, or closed off with photo-electric glass. To cater to six to eight guests and longer stays on board, the HC52 has been equipped with full-size fridge, two additional drawer fridges and an icemaker, plus a pantry.
“Expert design an engineering have ensured we have ample serving and preparation bench space as well as extra-large cupboards ensure storage of large platters and trays for group catering and entertaining.
“The Harbour Classic 52 will appeal to people seeking the freedom and exhilaration of short notice adventure – jump on board, steer a course and enjoy a day, weekend or week on the water as a couple, or with family friends. Its ease of operation and unrivalled allure elevate the HC52 into a class of her own.”
The advent of the Harbour Classic range in 2019 marked the beginning of a new kind of motor yacht: effortless, gracious and an enduring classic. The legacy continues in the all-new HC52.
