BIAV President Scott O’Hare has announced the election of Sue Bowes to the Board. Sue was elected unopposed during the 13 November Marinas and Clubs Division SGM, following Michael Neumann’s recent resignation as part of his departure from the GM role at the Royal Yacht Club of Victoria.

Sue joins the Board with extensive experience in boating and sailing administration, leadership, and a range of senior corporate positions.
In the boating sector, Sue has served as a board member at Sandringham Yacht Club for 12 years, including two years as Commodore. An accomplished racing and recreational sailor, she is currently the club’s Marina Manager. Her corporate background includes senior appointments such as Commercial GM at Bega, Commercial Manager at Lion, and GM at Aware International.
“With expertise across portfolio management, strategic planning, change management, compliance management, and more, Sue will be a great acquisition,” stated Scott O’Hare. He added, “I look forward to Sue getting started and being part of our dynamic and unified Board.”
