Yanmar Holdings Co., Ltd. has received international acclaim with its YPV-S concept foiling sailboat earning the 2025 Red Dot Design Award in the prestigious Design Concept category. The recognition positions Yanmar’s innovative marine vision at the forefront of future vessel design and sustainable ocean experiences.
The YPV-S is a next-generation hydrofoil sailboat created to redefine how people connect with the sea. Drawing on Yanmar’s advanced control and energy-conversion technologies, the vessel combines efficiency, accessibility, and exhilaration, gliding silently above the water on foils, powered purely by nature. Designed for intuitive operation, even by beginners, the YPV-S offers a new way to experience sailing, with a spacious cabin and deck that blend performance with comfort and harmony with the marine environment.

In the same category, Yanmar’s YPV-L concept agricultural machine was also recognised, while Yanmar Power Solutions Co., Ltd. earned a Product Design award for its marine hydrogen fuel cell system GH240FC, highlighting the brand’s broad commitment to sustainability both on land and at sea.
