Overnight Cabin, Twin-Stepped Hull & Twin 350HPs: Grand Boats Unveil New 10 Metre RIB

Grand’s new flagship model – the Grand G980 – includes a functional overnight cabin, configurable entertaining area and a twin-stepped hull.

Grand Inflatable Boats, a Ukrainian RIB manufacturer of 25 years and one of Europe’s leading RIB brands, have released renders of the newest model in their range.

A step-up from the much-loved Grand G850, the new G980 is just over 10 metres in length and features a sharp-entry twin-stepped hull, designed in partnership with Swedish race boat designers, Mannerfelt Design Team.

Making its global debut at Boot Dusseldorf in the new year ahead of its Southern Hemisphere debut at Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, the Grand G980 is set to be a best seller for the brand, with pre-orders already in place across several markets.

Grand Boats pride themselves on designing rigid inflatable boats differently, bringing a modernised, refined approach to traditional RIB design at an accessible price point.

Their new flagship has been designed to empower true adventure, while creating a home on the water for families onboard.

Fitted with twin 350HPs and complete with a twin-stepped hull with a deep vee 22° deadrise, the G980 will comfortably handle speeds far exceeding 50+ knots.

The front-raising console door reveals a spacious below deck cabin, complete with either two singles or a spacious double bed, as well as a toilet, storage, lighting, USB ports and natural lighting.

Up front, the sun lounge cushion folds outwards to extend the sofa area into one large sun bed.

At the aft end, folding bench seats make this entertainment area entirely configurable, so you can adjust the setting entirely to suit your needs. Set up either a u-shaped sofa, or flip the back rests backwards and insert infill cushions on top of the table to make this one large, open sunbed area.

The integrated wet bar, built into the helm seat, includes twin fridges, a sink & tap, gas cooker and additional storage, providing you with all you need for social moments on the water.

The G980 can also be optioned with a factory-fitted electric windlass and bow thruster system, as well as sun shade extensions that pull out from the fiberglass hard top.

Grand Boats anticipate their new flagship model to be a best seller, in particular in their Mediterranean and Southern Hemisphere markets. With production already underway, the first G980s will be hitting the water early in 2026.
