BlueNav, a pioneer in smart hybridisation solutions, has announced the launch of its new 11 kW Outboard motor, unveiled at BOOT Düsseldorf. This new model marks a major milestone for the company: the first BlueNav motor equipped with a turbine designed and engineered in-house.

Until now, BlueNav’s 8 kW and 15 kW motors have relied on Rim Drive Technology (RDT) turbines. With the 11 kW Outboard, BlueNav takes a decisive step forward by introducing its own proprietary turbine. Developed in-house, it integrates a patented Dynamic Anti-Cavitation Thrust Control, to continuously optimise energy efficiency and reduce cavitation, resulting in smoother, quieter and more controlled navigation.
A new mid-range solution making clean boating accessible to more vessels
The new 11 kW Outboard expands the BlueNav range with a true mid-range electric propulsion option, built on the same ultra-compact architecture as the 8 kW.
By maintaining the 8 kW small footprint, the 11 kW outboard allows BlueNav’s Smart Navigation solutions to be integrated into a wider range of boats, opening new applications without compromising space, weight or ease of installation.
Primarily available in a twin configuration, the 11 kW Outboard is designed to power boats between 6 and 12 tons. The 11 kW will also be available in a single configuration, suitable for boats between 3 and 6 tons.

BlueSpin Outboard Single 17.450€ excl. VAT
BlueSpin Outboard Twin Setup 33.900€ excl. VAT
A perfect hybridisation solution
Mounted on the transom, the BlueSpin Outboard 11 kW remains almost invisible out of the water. In electric mode, its retractable turbine lowers to deliver precise, silent and responsive propulsion, ideal for harbour manoeuvres, docking, low-speed navigation and Virtual anchoring. When in combustion mode, it retracts to preserve the boat’s performance, aesthetics and hydrodynamics.
Designed to complement traditional engines, the BlueNav motors offer the best of both worlds: the range and speed of combustion engines at sea, combined with the silence, precision and environmental benefits of electric navigation when it matters most.
Smart Navigation at the core
Like all BlueNav motors, the 11 kW Outboard fully integrates the company’s Smart Navigation solutions, offering advanced features such as:
Positioning: Virtual Anchor™, Dynamic Positioning System (DPS), Drift Lock
Docking: 360° Docking, Lateral Docking
Autopilot: Heading Hold, Course Hold, Waypoint Tracking, Speed Control
Combined with BlueNav’s 3D Joystick, Precision+ GPS and mobile App, the system delivers an intuitive and stress-free boating experience.
Designed, engineered and assembled in France
The new BlueNav turbine reflects the company’s commitment to engineering excellence, performance optimisation and sustainable design. By developing this critical component in-house, BlueNav strengthens its technological independence and ensures tighter control over quality, performance and future innovation.
The 11 kW Outboard is largely produced locally, with 79% of its components value sourced from France and 89% from Europe, reinforcing BlueNav’s commitment to responsible manufacturing, reduced transport-related emissions and the support of local industrial ecosystems.
