Benetti launches two steel giants in less than a month: M/Y Symmetry and M/Y Dagger

The Livorno-based shipyard consolidates its Steel Legacy with back-to-back launches of two hybrid B.Now 67M units. It’s a result that confirms Benetti’s global leadership in the construction of custom steel yachts: generous volumes, hybrid propulsion systems, and the iconic design philosophy behind the Oasis Deck®.

Just three weeks after M/Y Symmetry, Benetti celebrates the launch of M/Y Dagger, completing an incredible sequence for the B.Now 67M family. With the debut of this second unit, the Livorno-based shipyard has launched 134 metres of excellence and innovation, the result of collaboration with RWD for the exterior design and Reymond Langton Design and Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design for the interiors.

These two custom yachts, built with steel hulls and aluminium superstructures, are the first 67-metre hybrid units in Benetti’s B.Now 67M family, the result of a project that combines state-of-the-art engineering, construction reliability and a bespoke focus on comfort. The integration of advanced technologies aims to achieve a tangible reduction in environmental impact and superior acoustic comfort, eliminating vibrations and noise both when under way and at anchor.

“Owners are no longer looking just for a yacht, but for a more conscious and authentic way to experience the sea. These launches demonstrate how market demand is shifting towards yachts that deliver superior technological autonomy and reduced environmental impact, without ever compromising on comfort,” comments Daniela Petrozzi, Sales Director at Benetti. “The real value, for people who choose a large yacht today, lies precisely in the balance between steel construction excellence and propulsion systems capable of offering a quieter and more sustainable quality of life on board.”

Identity-defining design

Guests are welcomed aboard the yacht by the Oasis Deck®, Benetti’s signature design feature developed by British firm RWD, the designer of the exterior lines. With its iconic infinity pool and fold-out side wings, the area creates a symbiotic connection with the water and offers a 270-degree panoramic view. As a result, the outdoor spaces become a natural extension of the interiors, designed to enhance conviviality and convey a sense of absolute freedom.

While the exteriors unify the two yachts, the interior design reveals two profoundly different personalities. For M/Y Symmetry, the owner commissioned the interiors from the firm Reymond Langton Design, which developed a cohesive and welcoming layout, defined by a palette of inviting pale colour shades. The extremely high level of customisation is expressed in ten special decorations, ranging from custom fabrics and lacquered metals to textile artworks. A standout feature is the large chandelier in “ice effect” crystal glass, a bespoke piece that reflects light in a sculptural way.

The interiors of M/Y Dagger, on the other hand, are by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design. Here, the firm’s signature style is expressed in a linear layout, where natural tones promote a fluid conversation between the various decks. The project’s distinctive personality is defined by sophisticated colour pairings and the use of nine different types of wood, skilfully combined to create the perfect balance between materials. At the specific request of the owner, a passionate connoisseur of art, numerous areas on M/Y Dagger have been designed as private art galleries, with special shelves for sculptures and spotlit niches recessed in the walls exhibiting a prestigious collection of paintings and artwork.

Technology supporting the onboard lifestyle

The hybrid propulsion system installed on B.Now 67M stands out for its total modularity: the three key elements – main engines, generators and battery pack – operate in variable synergy to adapt to each cruising profile, optimising energy flows and consumption. This flexible architecture makes it possible to choose the most efficient mix depending on the actual situation: the engines can generate electricity, the generators can contribute to propulsion, and the batteries can cover loading peaks or ensure absolute silence.

What makes the package perform even better is the introduction of an advanced shaft line system with variable pitch propellers. Unlike fixed propellers, which are optimised for one speed only, this solution varies the pitch of the blades depending on the actual navigation conditions, ensuring superior dynamic response and maximum efficiency across the entire power range.

The focus on environmental impact also translates into the intelligent use of waste energy: the recovery system uses the heat produced by the generators to warm domestic water and the swimming pool, maximising the yacht’s global efficiency.
