Aquila appoints Whitehaven Marine for its Sailboat range

Following the recent launch of its first sailboat, the 50 Sail, Aquila Catamarans has appointed Whitehaven Marine to represent its sailing segment. Whitehaven Marine joins Aquila’s expansive network of over 100 dealers across the world.

The 50 Sail made its global debut at Miami International Boat Show in February 2026. It will make its European debut at the International Multihull Show, La Grand Motte, 22 to 26 April.

In Australia, the much-anticipated regional premiere will be held at the 2026 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, 21 to 24 May as part of a 13-vessel line-up from Whitehaven.

No less than Seven Aquila Catamarans will be on display in what will be the largest ever display in Australia. In addition to the New 50 Sailing Cat, the Show will also feature the debut of the New Aquila 42 Coupe and New 46 Yacht Power Catamarans along with the Aquila 32 Sports, Aquila 42 Yacht, Aquila 50 Yacht and the Aquila 54 Yacht.

Aquila’s expanding Sail range will include the 45 Sail and flagship 65 Sail, due to launch September 2026 and September 2027 respectively.

Based at Runaway Bay Marina on Queensland’s Gold Coast, Whitehaven Marine has been appointed the exclusive dealer for Aquila Sailing Catamarans in Australia and New Zealand.

Adding to the Whitehaven Marine network will be new Sub Dealers appointed for Sydney, Auckland and Fremantle that will be introduced at the Sanctuary Cove Show.

Nick Harvey, Chief Revenue Officer at Aquila Catamarans commented, “The launch of our sailing range is going from strength to strength, and we are pleased to make the 50 Sail accessible to more buyers via our new dealers.

“Whitehaven Marine are experts in the market and the perfect representatives for the Aquila Sail range. We are proud of this new chapter and the positive reception of the 50 Sail, we look forward to seeing even more sailors experience the innovation, design and comfort that defines Aquila.”

Jason Chipp, Aquila Power & Sail representative at Whitehaven Marine added, “We are very proud to represent the exciting new Aquila sailing catamaran range. Our appointment builds on the success of Aquila power catamarans in the Australia and New Zealand markets.

“The Aquila Sailing Catamarans have been purposefully designed for Cruising and the popular Charter market. Strong and high quality, the New Aquila Sail range is well suited to the demands of the Australian coastline and beyond. Think striking looks and intelligent engineering combined with an extremely functional layout. From the expansive social and living spaces to the quality of finish, the Aquila Sail range is a great fit for our regions and our customers.”

Chipp continued, “Sailing catamarans are a large part of the market in Australia and the segment continues to grow as more people discover the freedom and joy of extended passage making.

“The Aquila 50 Sail offers the largest volume in its class and her sea keeping abilities will certainly impress Australian and New Zealand cruisers.

“We look forward to presenting the six-cabin/six-ensuite A50 Sail at Sanctuary Cove boat show. It will certainly appeal to cruisers who like to entertain and the growing charter market. The four-cabin Owners version will suit cruising couples who will enjoy all the comforts of home, with the whole range representing excellent value.

“Best of all, owners will have the option to take delivery of their Aquila sailing catamaran at the factory and cruise it back home through the warmer waters of Asia in what would be seen as a tempting alternative to the much longer route from Europe.”

Aquila Catamarans officially announced its expansion into the sailing market at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2025, driven by its leadership team’s passion and extensive experience of sailing at a highly competitive level across generations.

The Aquila Sail range is backed by Aquila’s proven experience as one of the leading power catamaran brands, renowned for innovative and high-quality design. Aquila’s signature features of vast interior and exterior social space, seakeeping ability, versatility, advanced functions, and quality construction shine through in its sail range.

The 50 Sail was developed in collaboration with long-standing design partners J&J Design. It maximises space, functionality, cruising comfort and quality. Aquila’s design is evident throughout in both form and function, with features like bridge-to-bow stairs for easy access and clean, contemporary lines throughout.

There is a choice of four, five, or six cabin configurations located in each of the hulls with extensive head height and storage throughout. Each cabin maintains complete privacy with its own private entrance and features ensuite facilities.

The Aquila 50 Sail will be on show at the 2026 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, 21 to 24 May.
