Tracy Souris has been appointed General Manager – Rozelle Bay with JLL, taking responsibility for two of Sydney Harbour’s most significant recreational and superyacht facilities, the Sydney Superyacht Marina and Sydney Boathouse Dry Stack and Marina.
Souris will officially take the helm on 1 September, following a two-month transition and handover period working alongside the existing team.
The appointment is well-deserved recognition of Souris’ calibre, commercial acumen and leadership experience. With more than 14 years of progressive responsibility across marina operations, property asset management, construction and development, she has built a reputation as a strategic and commercially focused operator who understands both the business of boating and the people who make the industry work.
“This opportunity brings together my passion for the Sydney Harbour foreshore, leadership, operations, development and the boating industry,” Souris said when announcing the appointment.
“I am excited to work with our clients, tenants and stakeholders, building on the strong foundations already in place.”
The new role follows another significant career milestone in May, when Souris was elected President of the Boating Industry Association. Her appointment as the BIA’s first female president reflected the confidence of the association’s board in her leadership, industry knowledge and ability to represent a broad and diverse membership.
Souris has consistently demonstrated a genuine commitment to the prosperity of the recreational boating industry. She is a positive and informed voice for boating, bringing passion, practicality and a strong understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing marine businesses.
She has also been a determined advocate for women in boating, promoting the rewarding careers and professional pathways available throughout the recreational marine sector. Her leadership has helped bring greater visibility to those opportunities and encouraged more women to consider careers across marina management, marine trades, administration, governance and senior leadership.
The Rozelle Bay appointment brings together many of the strengths that have defined Souris’ career: operational leadership, stakeholder engagement, property management, development expertise and a genuine love of boating.
For JLL, the Sydney Superyacht Marina and Sydney Boathouse, it is a strong appointment. For the broader marine industry, it is another well-earned step forward for one of its most respected leaders.
