Life’s Better with a Boat Campaign Reinvigorated

You may have noticed the return of BIAV’s Life’s Better with a Boat campaign, which has been refreshed to celebrate the experiences, connections and sense of freedom that make boating such an important part of life for so many Victorians.
Focusing on the emotional appeal of the boating lifestyle, the campaign is designed to engage both existing boaters and those considering getting out on the water. The
year-round campaign will direct audiences to the newly launched Boaters Marketplace, where they can discover trusted BIAV member businesses offering boats, products, services, training, destinations and boating experiences across Victoria.
It will also be heavily promoted through digital advertising, social media, and email marketing in the lead-up to boat shows, helping to build excitement around boating, drive event attendance, and connect consumers with BIAV members throughout the year. Every BIAV member receives a complimentary listing on Boaters Marketplace, and members are encouraged to claim their business and ensure their information, imagery, and contact details are up to date to make the most of the upcoming campaign activity.

Positive Signs as Melbourne Boat Show Momentum Builds
With the Melbourne Boat Show now just over two months away, there are encouraging signs for the industry following the Sydney Boat Show. Attendance increased on the previous year, with exhibitors reporting quality enquiries, genuine buyer interest and positive sales activity. Cameron Bow of Sportsman Boats was quoted as saying, “The constant flow of people Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday was excellent, and the quality of people was amazing as they were genuinely interested in buying a new boat. I feel like the slump is over.” This result provides a welcome boost in confidence as preparations continue for a high-energy waterfront event at Docklands from 15–18 October.
To help exhibitors build momentum and make the most of their involvement, Katrina and Steph will host an exhibitor social media webinar on Tuesday, 1 September at 11.00 am. The practical session will explore how exhibitors and the Melbourne Boat Show can work together to promote the event, amplify campaign activity and showcase individual businesses. There will also be plenty of time for questions and an opportunity to connect with the Show team and fellow exhibitors.
