Cantiere Mimì showcases the Libeccio range at the Genoa Boat Show with a fleet featuring nine models in the water and the new version of the Libeccio 13.50 WA, making its world debut. New developments include the initial results of the research project with Federico II University in Naples on the use of sustainable and innovative materials in the shipyard’s boats.
Cantiere Mimì returns to the Genoa Boat Show with nine models from the Libeccio range that embody the evolution of more than 50 years of tradition, combining craftsmanship and quality of construction with innovation.
The 2026 edition of the boat show comes at a particularly positive time for the company led by the Senese family, which is combining international growth with a major investment in research and development in collaboration with Federico II University in Naples, organised jointly with Valerio Rivellini. One of the results of the R&D project is an innovative programme to produce components for fitting out the interiors and exteriors of the shipyard’s boats, based on the use of natural fibres such as linen, hemp and basalt, and 100% bio-based resins. The first real-world application of the project can now be seen in the green version of the Libeccio 9.50 Cabin, built using bio-based materials and presented at the Genoa Boat Show 2026, where it will be showcased as a practical result of the research and development undertaken by the shipyard.
This is a milestone in the expansion of the shipyard, which has consolidated its distribution network across key European countries in recent years and entered strategic new markets like Australia, where it recently made its debut at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show with local dealer Boatology.
Alongside the results of the research project, the spotlight will also be on the world premiere of the new version of Libeccio 13.50 WA. This model represents the latest evolution in the range upgrade process undertaken by Cantiere Mimì with Valerio Rivellini, aimed at offering increasingly diverse configurations and layouts that meet the needs of owners with different cruising styles. While retaining the identity and seagoing qualities that have driven the success of the Libeccio line, the project introduces a new arrangement of the interior spaces along with solutions designed to further improve comfort, functionality and liveability. Alongside the new model version, visitors will have the chance to discover a wide selection of models that comprehensively represent the evolution of the range, from the most compact gozzo boats to larger vessels.
The models on show with the new 13.5 Walkaround will be: Libeccio 7 Classic, Libeccio 7.50 WA, Libeccio 8.50 Classic Wheel, Libeccio 8.50 WA, Libeccio 8.50 Cabin, Libeccio 9.50 WA, Libeccio 9.50 Cabin and Libeccio 11 Cabin.
