The Asia-Pacific’s premier marina industry conference returns to Brisbane, host city of the 2032 Olympics with delegates again able to time their visit to take in the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show prior.
The Marina Industries Association (MIA) is pleased to announce that its flagship international conference and trade show, Marinas28 will return to Brisbane for its 2028 edition. The announcement follows a thorough evaluation of destinations and venues and confirms Brisbane will welcome the marina industry from the Asia-Pacific and right around the world.
Marinas28 is scheduled for Sunday 28 to Tuesday 30 May 2028, immediately following the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, giving delegates the option of travelling early to experience the country’s premier Boat Show, before making their way to Brisbane in time for the traditional Marinas28 Welcome Reception on the Sunday evening. The pairing of the two events makes it the most popular marina trade event in the Asia-Pacific region allowing delegates to make the most of their trip to Southeast Queensland.
Queen’s Wharf Brisbane’s newest Waterside Precinct
Marinas28 will be held at The Star Brisbane’s purpose-built Event Centre in the Queen’s Wharf precinct, located in the heart of the Brisbane CBD and overlooking the Brisbane River towards the stunning South Bank precinct.
Brisbane played host to Marinas24, but this time the conference will move to the other side of the city, to Brisbane’s newest entertainment precinct, Queen’s Wharf.
Set directly on the Brisbane River, it offers great access to Brisbane city along with sweeping views across the water to South Bank.
Delegates returning from Marinas24 will find a fresh take on this vibrant city, while first-time visitors will experience one of Brisbane’s newest and most exciting entertainment and lifestyle destinations.
The Star Brisbane is the centrepiece of the $3.6 billion Queen’s Wharf redevelopment, an integrated resort combining a state-of-the-art Event Centre with the largest ballroom in the Brisbane CBD, 5-star accommodation and one of the city’s largest dining and entertainment precincts.
