Asia-Pacific unites as one region at Monaco Yacht Show 2026

Superyacht Australia united with Echo Yachts and Bali Gapura Marina to co-host the Asia Pacific Stand at the 2026 Monaco Yacht Show. From 23 – 26 September the stand, located at QA1 alongside Superyachts.com, profiled the Asia-Pacific to an international audience as one unified cruising region, highlighting its diverse cruising grounds and the strength of its refit and maintenance capability.

As the world’s biggest and most prestigious event for the superyacht industry, the 35th Monaco Yacht Show showcased the very best in design, innovation and luxury lifestyle, bringing together more than 560 exhibitors and 118 superyachts, including 43 new 2026 deliveries, with a combined value of €4.5B.

This year marked the first Monaco Yacht Show under the expanded campaign announced by Superyacht Australia and the Asia-Pacific Superyacht Association (APSA) in June 2026, broadening the focus from Australia and the South Pacific to the full breadth of the Asia-Pacific. Following five years of the South Pacific Stand, the Asia Pacific Stand presented the region as a compelling alternative to the traditional Mediterranean and Caribbean ‘milk run’, encouraging owners and captains to plan longer, more varied itineraries that move between remote island cruising and world-class cosmopolitan ports.

In attendance and exhibiting on the Asia Pacific Stand were Maritime Cook Islands, Rivergate Marina & Shipyard, The Superyacht People, Tax Navigate, 3Beaches Textiles, Torrens Luxury Collection, Tahiti Tourisme, Acutec Systems, Australian Superyachts, Oceania Marine Shipyard and Skytopia. Australia’s Great Barrier Reef also generated significant interest on the stand, following the recent visits of MY Octopus and SY Koru to the region.

Nathan Tomlinson of Oceania Marine Shipyard in New Zealand, commented, “It was a great experience representing Oceania Marine in Monaco alongside the wider Asia Pacific group. Being part of the stand gave us a fantastic opportunity to connect with international clients, industry partners and other businesses from across the region, and to showcase what New Zealand and the Asia Pacific region can offer the global superyacht market.”

On the eve of the Monaco Yacht Show, Superyacht Australia joined the Asia Pacific Superyacht Night as a Destination Sponsor. The event provided an opportunity to promote the Brisbane 2032 Marine Project and the Monaco Yacht Club Energy Boat Challenge, to be held in Darwin.

The Superyacht Australia Magazine Issue 14 was launched internationally on the first day of the show, providing the global superyacht community with a Destination Guide exploring Tahiti, Thailand and Darwin, alongside new marina developments, Australia’s refit capability, ocean conservation initiatives and a 2027 events calendar. Copies were widely distributed at the show.

The uniquely Australian touch returned to the stand, with Rivergate Marina & Shipyard once again offering Vegemite tastings, while Tax Navigate’s yo-yo giveaways proved a hit with visitors.

On Thursday 24 September, the Monaco Economic Board and the Australian Association of Monaco hosted the Monaco – Australia Business & Networking Reception, supported by the Embassy of Monaco to Australia and the Australian Embassy to France and Monaco. Many Australians based in Monaco and the South of France mingled with Australian yachting companies, building relationships that will assist in further business ties.

Richard Morris, Managing Director of Australian Superyachts, commented, “Having attended Monaco for many decades, it’s always interesting to see how the show continues to evolve. There has been a real generational shift in the industry, but Monaco remains an important meeting place for the people and conversations that matter. Participating alongside the wider Asia Pacific group was a great opportunity to strengthen those connections and showcase the region on the global stage.”

Echo Yachts and Rivergate Marina and Shipyard once again co-hosted a captain’s lunch on the Friday, which proved extremely successful in connecting with stakeholders and showcasing the hospitality of the Asia-Pacific, lasting well into the night for some captains.

Chris Blackwell, Head of Sales and Marketing, Echo Yachts, commented, “The Monaco Yacht Show was an extremely positive week for Echo Yachts, generating a number of exciting new project enquiries and valuable connections with owners, representatives, and industry partners from around the world. Exhibiting alongside Superyacht Australia and fellow regional companies on the Asia Pacific Stand provided a strong platform to showcase not only Echo Yachts’ full-custom newbuild and refit capabilities, but also the depth of expertise, infrastructure, and cruising destinations that Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific region offer the global superyacht market. We came away from Monaco with genuine opportunities and a positive outlook for the year ahead.”

Thursday and Friday were exceptionally busy on the stand. The unified regional approach also attracted interest from further New Zealand companies and from the Japan destination stand, located in another pavilion, reinforcing the value of presenting the Asia-Pacific as one connected region.

David Good, CEO of Superyacht Australia, commented, “Marketing the Asia Pacific together at Monaco certainly draws more interest and showcases the incredible variety of culture and cruising grounds on offer, all supported by outstanding maintenance, refit and service providers that give captains, fleet managers and owners the confidence to deploy their vessels to our region. This first year as one unified Asia Pacific stand has shown what we can achieve together, and we look forward to welcoming more of the global fleet to our waters in the seasons ahead.”
