Manly Boat Harbour boat ramp improvement works underway

The Queensland Government is undertaking maintenance on the north and south boat ramps at Manly Boat Harbour to improve safety, resilience and operational life.

The works include grout-filled mattresses to strengthen scour protection, new toe planks on the lower sections of the ramps and restoration of rock shoulders where required, helping to maintain reliable boating access to Moreton Bay.

Maritime Safety Queensland scheduled the works outside of the peak spring school holiday period to minimise community impacts.

Works on the southern ramp have begun and are scheduled for completion by early November, with the commencement of works on the northern ramp to follow works on the southern ramp.

The staging of works will allow one ramp to remain open to the public while works are undertaken, with both ramps planned for completion by December 2026, weather and site conditions permitting.

Boaties should plan ahead, follow onsite signage, remain alert to changed conditions and travel at a safe speed near the work area.

Once complete, the works will improve the ramps’ safety, resilience and longevity, supporting reliable recreational boating access to Moreton Bay.

Maritime Safety Queensland thanks the community for its patience and cooperation during the works.
