The Nautical Group is now the official Azimut Yachts dealer in New Zealand, representing the Italian yacht builder across the country and supporting clients throughout the yacht ownership journey.
The new dealership gives New Zealand buyers a dedicated local connection to Azimut Yachts, with The Nautical Group providing guidance from selecting the right yacht through to purchase, delivery and ongoing ownership support.
The announcement follows a strong period for The Nautical Group, including the sale of two Azimut Grande 27M yachts within weeks of one another earlier this year. One was a brand-new build from Italy, while the other was a pre-owned 2020 model, giving the brokerage direct experience across both the new-build and pre-owned Azimut market.
Founded by James Dalzell and Jessie Moller, The Nautical Group was established around a belief that yacht brokerage should be based on experience, transparency and long-term relationships, with the client’s interests at the centre of the process. James, Founder, Managing Director and Head Broker, has more than 15 years’ experience in yachting and became a Captain at 22, including experience aboard Azimut yachts.
James has built a team of specialists with extensive experience across the industry, including superyacht captains who have overseen global builds from 25m to 135m alongside leading shipyards. The team’s expertise extends well beyond the sale, covering areas including itinerary planning, engineering, company structuring and tax support for vessels based in Europe.
As the official Azimut Yachts dealer, The Nautical Group will provide new yacht sales alongside after-sales, warranty, servicing and ongoing owner support. A new showroom at 197 Maunganui Road, Mount Maunganui, Tauranga, will give clients the opportunity to experience the brand locally. The showroom’s interior design will be heavily inspired by Azimut’s distinctive aesthetic, creating a space that reflects the brand and its sleek Italian design heritage. From the showroom, The Nautical Group will work closely with clients and Azimut in Italy throughout the purchase, customisation and build process.
