YANMAR to debut YF12e Hybrid System at Metstrade 2026

YANMAR Marine International (YMI) will unveil the YF12e Hybrid at Metstrade 2026 (Hall 1, Stand 343), its next generation hybrid-electric propulsion system designed to deliver greater flexibility, exceptional charging efficiency and next-level onboard comfort.

Combining diesel and electric propulsion, the system offers boat owners an efficient and versatile approach to powering life on board.

More information will be released following the launch at Metstrade, taking place 17 – 19 November 2026 at RAI Amsterdam.

The YF12e Hybrid enables zero-emission and near-silent operation in EV mode, and efficient cruising and onboard power generation directly from the propulsion engine.

Designed for inland waterway vessels and 40–50ft displacement boats, the YF12e Hybrid expands YANMAR’s sustainable propulsion portfolio, which includes its HVO-compatible engines and DAME-winning SDe electric saildrive.

Floris Lettinga, Director of Sales and Marketing at YANMAR Marine International, comments: “We are excited to unveil the YF12e Hybrid system at Metstrade, which is another way YANMAR provides customers with the Power of Choice. With this hybrid system, we’ve taken the complexity out of combining different systems and engineered it into one YANMAR solution. It’s designed to make the benefits of hybrid propulsion more accessible and easier to use.”

The YF12e Hybrid will be available at Metstrade 2026, with full technical specifications released at the show. Visit the YANMAR stand: 01.343
