The launch of M/Y Cabana under project number NB 111 has been announced, marking a significant milestone for the shipyard responsible. The 34.5-metre yacht, which features a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, was successfully launched on 31 May 2025 at the Tuzla, Istanbul shipyard facilities.
As the inaugural hull in the Atlante Classic 35 series, Cabana was built on a semi-custom basis, in keeping with the shipyard’s established philosophy. Both the yacht’s exterior and interior were designed by Paolo Dose of VYD Studio in Trieste, while Giuseppe Arrabito of Arrabito Naval Architects in Livorno handled the naval architecture.
Project supervision and management were conducted by Fatih Dalkıran of the Turkish marine consultancy firm Antalyachts. The yacht was commissioned by an experienced Northern European client and represented throughout the build by Mark Seaton.
Hüseyin Mengi, Chairman of the Board at Mengi Yay Yachting, commented on the launch:
“M/Y Cabana is one of the most distinctive results of our successful collaboration with VYD Studio. This new model reflects our shipyard’s production capabilities and engineering expertise. It aligns with our vision to create yachts suited to every sea and need. We are proud to have met our client’s expectations and look forward to many more projects with Atlante Yachts in the future.”
Paolo Dose, Lead Designer at VYD Studio, also shared his reflections:
“The launch of Cabana marks the culmination of a unique project brought to life through craftsmanship, engineering, and international collaboration. Originally conceived as a 33-metre concept under 300 GT, the yacht evolved into a 330 GT long-range explorer over months of intensive development.
“This project exemplifies Atlante’s customer-focused design journey, encouraging owner involvement at every step. We’re proud to have supported the owners from concept to completion, and remain committed to assisting post-delivery. Special thanks go to the team at Mengi Yay Yachting for realising the full potential of the Atlante Classic 35 model. The yacht strikes an ideal balance of length, beam, and volume, allowing a seamless blend of living areas, deck space, and technical zones.
“The exterior design offers a contemporary take on full-displacement explorer yachts, while the interiors—developed in close collaboration with the owners—feature sophisticated modern tones and premium Italian materials.”
M/Y Cabana is expected to cruise the Mediterranean during the 2025 summer season. The second hull in the Atlante Classic 35 series is currently listed for sale by Atlante Yachts, with construction by Mengi Yay Yachting scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2027.
