World Premiere Riviera’s 64 Sports Motor Yacht – Series II A legend refined

Riviera has a number of ‘firsts’ to celebrate at this year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. October 29 will mark the World Premiere of the new generation 64 Sports Motor Yacht Series II and the Americas Premiere of the new generation 72 Sports Motor Yacht Series II and the exciting new 4300 Sports Express. All three of these ‘firsts’ will be a part of Riviera’s spectacular Fort Lauderdale, 12-model showcase.

According to Riviera owner Rodney Longhurst, the Series II models represent a wholistic refinement of these legendary long-range motor yachts. “Our Riviera Sports Motor Yacht concept was first launched in 2018, answering the demand for a luxurious, blue-water motor yacht that excelled in water sports from fishing to scuba diving, to kayaking and paddle-boarding.

“That attraction is stronger than ever and today our Riviera Sports Motor Yacht Collection has grown to six exceptional models from 46 to 72 feet.

“Feedback from our worldwide family of Riviera owners has helped to influence our in-house team of awarded design engineers to undertake a wholistic refinement approach to the Series II models. The exterior and interior review has created a new aesthetic that is both contemporary and timeless. Additionally, proven easy technology innovations have been incorporated that further enhance the pleasure of boating with Riviera.

“Both the 64 and 72 Series II models are now even more functional, more luxurious and more enjoyable; delivering exhilarating sports performance and blue-water capability that has positioned the Riviera Sports Motor Yacht in a league of its own.”

Excellence Refined

First launched in 2020, Riviera’s 64 Sports Motor Yacht set the benchmark for a 64-foot blue-water yacht that had it all; walk-around side decks, foredeck lounge and entertaining, all-weather alfresco deck, luxurious saloon with an internal staircase to a fully enclosed air-conditioned flybridge with a state-of-the-art helm. Magnificent accommodation included a choice of three or four staterooms, three bathrooms, an opulent full-beam master suite and versatile utility room or crew cabin. Engineering excellence matched her sports performance to ensure a smooth, quiet and efficient ride across varying speeds and a range of offshore conditions. And of course, a wide, open cockpit to enable all manner of water sports action.

Now the 64 Sports Motor Yacht Series II refines all these essentials and sets a new benchmark for excellence.

Welcome Aboard

Step easily from the dock onto the boarding platform and enter the cockpit via the port or starboard transom doors. At anchor, these doors open out and lock flush against the transom, effectively extending the already generous cockpit space. As well as an excellent platform for water sports, the cockpit also doubles as an easy entertaining area with a barbecue and wet bar starboard of the teak steps leading up to the alfresco deck. A large, insulated freezer is located portside.

Fabulous Alfresco

The alfresco deck is the entertaining and dining centre of the 64 Series II. A beautiful space offering privacy and protection from the weather, the alfresco deck effectively increases the saloon-level living area by a third.

To port, there’s ample seating with a plush lounge that easily converts to a double daybed for lazy afternoons. Forward on the port side is a refreshments bar with a solid surface benchtop, icemaker and bin. The L-shaped lounge opposite wraps around a handcrafted folding teak table. For those moments that must be seen and shared live, an LED Smart TV folds down from the headliner.

Gourmet Galley

Open the saloon door and awning window; both are engineered for the highest strength from tinted and toughened glass, framed in polished stainless steel. Now the alfresco deck flows into the saloon creating one grand living and entertaining space.

The U-shaped galley of the 64 Series II is an inspiring space, superbly equipped with premium appliances beautifully integrated into handcrafted timber joinery. A three-element induction cooktop with removable potholders is complemented by a combination oven/microwave with an integrated grill; solid surface waterfall benchtops, ample storage, pull-out pantry, rangehood, one-and-a-quarter sink with inline water filter and a dishwasher.

Extended time aboard demands appropriate refrigeration which is why the galley has a full-height refrigerator to starboard with two freezer drawers below, and two additional fridge drawers opposite alongside a wine cooler.

Spacious Saloon

Adjacent to the galley is the impressive timber-lined staircase that allows easy access to the flybridge. Below the staircase is an easy-clean drinks station to complement the galley area.

Forward of the galley to starboard is an L-shaped leather dining lounge with a handcrafted solid timber table, folding at both ends and mounted on polished stainless steel pedestals. A matching sofa opposite completes this stylish saloon setting. Lower the electric blinds, raise the LED Smart TV at the press of a button and now the saloon becomes a cinema room with a premium sound system.

In true motor yacht style, the saloon features a very practical portside door for quick and easy access to the forward deck, access to the side deck to tend to mooring lines, or simply to invite a cool breeze to flow through the saloon at anchor.

Entertaining Forward Deck

Readily accessed from the portside door of the saloon, the forward deck is where most owners choose to securely store their tender which can be easily launched and retrieved courtesy of a low-profile boom davit.

A popular option is a U-shaped lounge setting that comfortably seats eight guests complete with a stow-away companion table. With the tender launched this becomes another perfect entertaining or relaxation area, ideal for a long brunch or sunset drinks. There are stereo speakers and a euro style awning that stows easily when it’s time to weigh anchor.

Sensational Flybridge

The fully enclosed flybridge of the 64 Series II is spacious and serene.

Commanding views of the water are enhanced by an extremely quiet ride, especially when this exceptional craft is in full flight. The aesthetic is both contemporary and timeless with saloon-level luxury. A plush L-shaped lounge with a matching ottoman coffee table sits opposite a large LED Smart TV. For added convenience, a timber companion table folds out from the aft seat base and is easily stowed when not in use. There’s a drawer fridge for refreshments as well as a fold-out double bed to provide additional accommodation for overnight guests or crew on overnight passages.

All-Seasons Flybridge Aft Deck

Reflecting the same grand liveability of the saloon below, the flybridge interior opens and flows out to an aft deck. An extended hardtop provides another all-weather space easily enclosed with Riviera’s high-quality clears or breezeway mesh.

At anchor, this is a splendid private retreat or boutique entertaining area complete with an L-shaped lounge, folding timber table, wet bar, stainless- steel fridge, sink and solid surface benchtop.

To assist the skipper, the aft deck has an exterior helm station with a joystick, that can be optioned steering wheel, throttles and navigation screen and offers excellent visibility for precise and easy docking or sport fishing.

Commanding Helm

The interior forward helm of the 64 Series II is state-of-the-art, featuring touch-screen navigation and operation technology all designed to make boating even easier and more pleasurable. Fingertip control and outstanding visibility is enjoyed through the engineered curved glass windscreen. Captain and companion chairs are fully adjustable and deeply comfortable with the added luxury of hand-stitched leather. Guests are invited to join the skipper whilst underway and enjoy commanding views from the starboard companion lounge.

Third Helm Chair Option

The 64 Series II has the option of replacing the starboard companion lounge with a third helm chair.

Easy Joystick Control

The Twin Disc Express Positioning System (EPS) is a sophisticated GPS interface, linking port and starboard engines with powerful hydraulic thrusters mounted on the bow and stern. The EPS system proportionally controls propeller and thruster speeds, enabling the skipper to maintain station in a wide range of conditions and respond instantly to changes in wind and current.

Three or Four Staterooms, Three Bathrooms

The 64 SMY Series II enables owners to choose the accommodation layout that best suits their boating life. Both the three and four-stateroom designs feature a full-beam master suite, three bathrooms and the choice of a utility room or crew cabin. In the three-stateroom layout, a plush lower lounge takes the place of the fourth stateroom.

Magnificent Master Stateroom

First impressions of the full-beam master stateroom are spacious, stylish and luxurious. Tinted hull windows and opening ports welcome an abundance of soft natural light and fresh air to the master with its queen-size walk-around island bed and soft, plush carpeting underfoot.

Unpacking is easy with ‘his’ and ‘hers’ cedar-lined hanging lockers complete with shoe shelves and ample drawer storage in the handcrafted cabinetry on the starboard side. Under-bed storage takes care of luggage and portside is an elegant chaise lounge.

Other luxuries include reverse-cycle air-conditioning, feature headboard, bedside tables, a flush-mounted large LED Smart TV with soundbar and a thoughtful Riviera extra: a safe for valuables.

Crew Cabin or Utility Room?

The crew cabin/utility room can be optioned to suit an owner’s personal needs and is easily accessed via the engine room hatch in the cockpit, alfresco deck or the walk-in wardrobe of the master stateroom.

Using this space as a utility room is a popular option as it keeps wet and sandy feet out of the yacht’s interior. Simply pass down fishing, diving and water sports equipment through the alfresco deck hatch, to be neatly stored away.

The crew cabin option features the same high level of appointments you enjoy with Riviera; a separate entrance via the cockpit or alfresco deck, air conditioning, single berth bed, storage locker, opening porthole, shower, head and vanity.

Pack a Little Lighter

The 64 Series II has a laundry station located in the crew cabin/utility room with a separate washing machine and drier, providing an efficient solution to all the fresh laundry needs of everyone on board.

Innovative Technology

The 64 Series II offers an array of options and inclusions to make boating easier including Sentinel – remote systems monitoring, control and alerts, Praxis Composite Solar charging technology, Humphree Fins or Seakeeper 18 stabilisation, the Starlink internet system and much more.

Advanced Safety Monitoring

The 64 Series II features a high-resolution integrated camera system providing skipper and crew with single glance control through live vision of the bow anchor, saloon, cockpit and engine room, displayed through helm navigation screens.

Exhilarating Power

Riviera’s 64 Sports Motor Yacht Series II is powered by twin V12 MAN diesel engines rated at 1550 hp (1140 kW) delivering smooth high-tractive power with impressive fuel economy.

Access to the superbly engineered, full-height and substantial engine room is via a watertight entry door from the crew/utility cabin or through lockable engine room hatches in the cockpit or alfresco deck.

Industry Leading Warranties

Riviera offers an industry-leading level of owner care and comfort, with all and MAN powered yachts delivered with a five-year engines limited warranty, which is further supported by Riviera’s seven-year structural and two-year express limited warranties.
