Leopard Catamarans, a global leader in performance cruising catamarans, today announced the forthcoming global debut of the refined Leopard 53 Powercat, an evolutionary update to its flagship motor yacht model. Building upon the award-winning foundation of its predecessor, which has seen over 142 delivered worldwide, the new 53PC integrates a suite of ergonomic refinements, elevated social spaces, and engineering enhancements focused on optimising luxury and long-range efficiency.

The reimagined model will officially launch in December 2025 but will be available for its first public viewing in February 2026 at the Miami International Boat Show, offering unparalleled comfort for both private owners and participants in The Moorings Yacht Ownership Program.
Elevated Exterior Socialisation
The key focus of the redesign is the enhancement of the yacht’s expansive exterior living areas. The aft cockpit introduces versatile living and a new level of comfort. Owners can now choose between a flexible “Alfresco” modular furniture setup or a traditional fixed configuration, maximising adaptability for entertaining or relaxation. The enhanced walk-through transom and optional redesigned electric lifting platform further integrate the yacht with the water, after deck (in up position) serving as both a tender station and a spacious swim platform/beach in down position
The flybridge, often described as the heart of the boat, has been completely refined. It now features a more spacious and comfortable seating layout with modular back cushions and new fabric, an upgraded helm station with improved visibility and ergonomics, and a sophisticated wet bar/galley module with an integrated sink, grill, and refrigeration.

Interior Flow and Serene Comfort
Inside, the saloon and galley have undergone a major refresh, focusing on a seamless flow and modern sophistication.
Saloon & Galley: Redesigned seating, upgraded premium finishes, and enhanced connection between the galley, dining, and lounge areas creates a truly social, open-plan living experience.
Noise Reduction: A critical engineering update includes housing all major systems in a separate, sealed engine room, substantially reducing engine noise and vibration transmitted into the living spaces, providing a quiet and restful cruising experience.
Accommodation: The 53PC continues to be offered in three- or four-cabin ensuite layouts, with the owner’s version providing a full private suite complete with a large island bed and spacious walk-in closet.
Lighting: Modernised cockpit lighting for ambiance and functionality. Ambient and task flybridge lighting built into seating and structure for night use.

Franck Bauguil, Senior Vice President of Yacht Ownership & Product Development for Leopard Catamarans and The Moorings, commented on the release: “The refined Leopard 53 Powercat is a testament to our commitment to continuous innovation and listening to the needs of our global owners. We haven’t just refreshed the finishes; we’ve optimised the experience at the same price point. The combination of its exceptional new living spaces, smart ergonomic design, and enhanced level of comfort truly sets a new standard for luxury power catamaran cruising. It remains the ideal platform for both extended private voyages and successful charter ownership through The Moorings.”

Proven Performance and Ownership Versatility
The enhanced Leopard 53 Powercat retains its highly efficient hull design and trusted twin Yanmar 370HP engines, offering reliable performance with top speeds up to 24 knots, linear power curve completely flat on the water and an impressive long-range capability. The yacht is available for purchase for private use or through The Moorings Yacht Ownership Program, offering a guaranteed income stream and plenty of owner use.
