Riviera will open the doors of its Coomera manufacturing facility this month for three Apprenticeship Information Evenings, offering young people an opportunity to explore a career in Australia’s recreational marine industry.
The sessions will be held on July 16, 22 and 28, beginning at 5.30pm at Riviera’s 16.8-hectare facility within the Coomera Marine Precinct on the Gold Coast.
Designed for school leavers, students and their parents, the evenings will include a guided twilight tour of Riviera’s manufacturing operations, presentations from members of its experienced team and the opportunity to hear directly from current apprentices.
Attendees will also learn about the Riviera Academy of Excellence and the training, development and career pathways available with Australia’s largest luxury motor yacht builder.
For anyone considering a career in boatbuilding, the information evenings provide valuable insight into the broad range of skills and trades required to produce Riviera’s internationally recognised motor yachts.
Riviera offers school-based apprenticeships across marine craft construction, composites, diesel fitting, welding and fabrication, cabinetmaking, furniture finishing, timber and composite machining, surface finishing, upholstery and electrotechnology.
Following the information sessions, students interested in pursuing an apprenticeship can apply by submitting a resume, their most recent school report and a covering letter identifying the trade they wish to enter.
The program represents an important pathway into the recreational marine sector and an opportunity to begin a career within an Australian boatbuilding organisation renowned for quality, innovation and a strong commitment to its people.
Places at each evening are limited and advance registration is essential.
