EIG Australia (EIG), the fuel systems specialist, a 100% owned subsidiary of Duratec, has successfully delivered two major fuel infrastructure upgrades in Onslow for Onslow Marine Support Base (OMSB) and in Broome for Kimberley Marine Support Base (KMSB) in WA.
The upgrades at OMSB and KMSB, demonstrates EIG’s capability to strengthen marine operations through fuel system upgrades across Western Australia’s north-west.
At the centre of both projects is the introduction of first-of-their-kind bunkering containers – a modular, integrated solution that enables clients to operate their own fuel services safely, efficiently and independently.

Developed by fuel infrastructure specialists EIG, the bespoke systems combine certified metering, fuel management and high-flow dispensing within a single unit, providing a one-stop-shop interface, eliminating reliance on third-party providers, and improving operational control.
At OMSB, EIG delivered a new bulk diesel facility with 600,000 litres of storage capacity, tripling existing capacity at their fuel yard and high-flow dispensing of approximately 1,200 litres per minute, supporting more reliable and efficient marine operations.
At KMSB in Broome, EIG delivered a larger-scale fuel, potable water and electrical infrastructure solution, including a high-capacity bunkering system capable of dispensing approximately 3,300 litres per minute – one of the fastest flow rates in the country and capable of filling an Olympic sized swimming pool in just over twelve hours.
