At a 50-percent engine load, she cruises effortlessly at 20 knots while burning just 37 gallons per hour. Pulling the throttles back further to 10 knots extends the range to 2,344 nautical miles. The first GB65 Skylounge, shown here and powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS 1350s, reaches speeds exceeding 30 knots, providing owners with the freedom to cover serious distances and spend more time enjoying each destination.
Owners can choose between pod drives or conventional shaft drives according to their preference. Because of Grand Banks’ approach to hydrodynamic design, the hull underbody does not need to be changed to accommodate the selected propulsion system.
