Superyacht Australia Magazine Issue 14 launches internationally at the Monaco Yacht Show, putting Australia’s superyacht industry in front of a global audience.
Superyacht Australia Magazine is the industry’s dedicated publication, spotlighting the breadth of Australia’s superyacht sector alongside the wider Asia-Pacific region. Each issue delivers the latest updates, events and marine tourism insights to stakeholders, captains and owners worldwide, reinforcing Australia and its neighbours as premier superyacht destinations.
Issue 14 of the magazine opens with a Destination Guide charting the Great Southern Route between Australia and the South Pacific, this year turning the spotlight on Tahiti and Thailand. With direct flights from Sydney to Tahiti commencing in December, The Islands of Tahiti, contributed by Tahiti Tourisme, explores French Polynesia’s appeal for superyacht cruising across the Society, Tuamotu, Gambier and Marquesas archipelagos, covering charter logistics, provisioning and marine conservation. Alongside it, Cruising Thailand, with insights from Asia Pacific Superyachts co-founder Gordon Fernandes, tracks Phuket’s rise as a superyacht hub, from Phang Nga Bay and the Similan Islands to the Gulf of Thailand.
The Destination Guide also heads north, with Darwin: Gateway to Australia’s Wild North profiling the city’s emergence as a base for expedition cruising into the Kimberley. Superyacht Captain Duncan Warner shares his insights on the region’s haul-out capability, the new Northern Marine Complex and Darwin’s growing role in regional maritime events.
Turning the focus to Australia, the magazine tracks a wave of new infrastructure: Bali Gapura Marina, Indonesia’s first purpose-built superyacht facility with up to 180 berths, opens a new gateway into Indonesian cruising; The Mantaray Marina at Main Beach elevates the Gold Coast’s superyacht offering with premium berths and a waterfront hospitality precinct; and in Fiji, Port Denarau Marina’s multi-million dollar expansion adds berths for superyachts up to 115 metres. Closer to home, d’Albora’s acquisition of Gold Coast City Marina & Shipyard folds GCCM into Australia’s largest premium marina network, expanding refit, maintenance and berthing capability nationally.
The magazine showcases Australia’s refit and repair capability, from The Boat Works’ Gold Coast precinct, home to more than 100 marine trades and Australia’s largest 300-tonne travel lift, to The Yard Brisbane’s expansion plans for a new Marine Park precinct and upgraded haul-out capability. Marking twenty years on the Brisbane River, Rivergate Marina & Shipyard is profiled as the Pacific’s refit and repair hub of choice, its where world itineraries pause feature covering recent major projects and its growing reputation among visiting superyachts.
Also featured is Seabin, the Sydney Harbour-founded ocean cleanup technology now operating globally, telling the origin story of founders Pete Ceglinski and Andrew Turton and its research partnerships tackling microplastic pollution. The International SeaKeepers Society’s South Pacific Chapter rounds out the conservation coverage, outlining how owners can contribute vessels or support scientific and community programs across the South Pacific through its Vessel Donation Program.
Looking ahead to 2027, the magazine contains a calendar of Superyacht Australia events. Following its standout debut in February 2026, the Sydney Charter Show returns to Jones Bay Superyacht Marina from 28 February to 1 March 2027, alongside the Australian Superyacht Conference. The calendar also flags the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, returning to the Gold Coast from 20-23 May 2027 for its 38th year, and news of Informa’s inaugural Australian International Boat Show, launching at Sydney’s Darling Harbour in 2027.
Superyacht Australia’s commitment to celebrating its people continues with a feature on the 2026 Australian Marine Industry Awards, where Marine Structures and Muir Engineering were among this year’s winners, recognising the innovation and infrastructure raising the bar across the industry. The magazine also sits down with Sonya Romeo and Niamh Brennan, co-founders of 3Beaches / The Textile & Design Studio, on their expansion into marine interiors, and with Sam and Emily Aldred, CEO and COO of Morris Nautical, on building a family superyacht charter fleet across Cairns and the Whitsundays.
