Superyacht interior professionals gather for an intimate beachfront event celebrating industry relationships, collaboration and shared experiences in Far North Queensland.

Against the stunning backdrop of Palm Cove’s tropical coastline, an exclusive Chief Stewardess Lunch brought together superyacht interior professionals for an afternoon of meaningful connections, industry insights and shared experiences.
Held on Tuesday, 6 October, at the renowned beachfront Nu Nu Restaurant, the invitation-only gathering welcomed chief stewardesses, pursers and interior crew from some of the world’s leading superyachts, offering a rare opportunity to connect beyond the demands of life onboard.

With the Far North Queensland yachting season in full swing, the event attracted representatives from five yachts and four countries, reflecting the international nature of the superyacht community. Guests enjoyed an exquisite three-course lunch overlooking the Coral Sea, with an unexpected appearance by dolphins frolicking in the shallows adding a memorable touch to the afternoon.
Among the distinguished attendees were the Purser, Chief Stewardess and Second Stewardess from the 100-metre motor yacht Pi.

Reflecting on the occasion, Olivia, Purser onboard Pi, shared: “We had a wonderful lunch visiting the beautiful Nu Nu at Palm Cove. Thank you to the sponsors for hosting us, providing a memorable event and showing us a slice of the QLD coast.”
Proudly supported by Analu, Pacific Provisions, Melanesian Yacht Services, Quality Marine Clothing and Hamilton Island, the gathering highlighted the importance of fostering strong relationships between the professionals who deliver exceptional standards of service onboard the world’s finest yachts and the businesses that support them.

More than a networking occasion, the Chief Stewardess Lunch provided a welcoming and trusted environment where interior professionals could exchange knowledge, share experiences and develop valuable industry connections.
“The aim is to bring together the hardworking interior teams and create an environment where people can share experiences, support one another and build lasting industry connections,” the organisers said.
“Invitations are extended to yachts in the area, and the response has been fantastic. We look forward to hosting another event soon, with the Gold Coast also being considered as a future location.”

The success of the Palm Cove gathering reflects the value of creating opportunities for the superyacht interior community to come together, particularly during busy cruising seasons when professional demands can leave little time for meaningful connections ashore.
With plans to explore future events along Australia’s East Coast, the initiative continues to celebrate the people, partnerships and shared passion that make the superyacht industry such a unique international community.
