Record Sign-up for 2023 Horizon Yachts Rendezvous

Involving the largest fleet of Horizon yachts to date, an impressive 25, and around 125 guests, the 2023 Horizon Yacht Owners’ Rendezvous will take place 6 to 9 November at the magnificent Coral Sea Marina Resort, Airlie Beach.

Spanning the Horizon range from the PC52 power cat to the RP 125, and with owners joining the group from Queensland, New South Wales and as far away as Perth, Tasmania and New Zealand, the tropical gathering will take full advantage of Coral Sea Marina Resort’s perfect positioning as the gateway to the Whitsundays and the Great Barrier Reef.

As guests settle into the impeccably appointed accommodation, overlooking the vivid turquoise waters of Airlie Bay, the itinerary opens with a Welcome cocktail party on the beach.

On the Tuesday, “the Race that stops a nation” inspires the White-themed Melbourne Cup Lunch, which is always filled with fashion, fun and incredible prizes. This year, an expert and energetic Race Caller from Ladbrokes will host proceedings, guaranteed to add to the excitement.

Then on Wednesday, after a restful morning to recover, no doubt punctuated by a swim in the Resort pool and a spot of boutique shopping along the fascinating main street, guests can look forward to the sumptuous Long Table Beach Lunch – a brilliant event that unites the myriad aspects of the Horizon lifestyle: majestic motor yachts, azure waters, delectable cuisine and camaraderie.

Truly a sight to behold, the 25-strong fleet will set off in formation from Coral Sea Marina to an exquisite location that provides a picturesque anchorage and tranquil waters for a 5-star catered lunch under a marquee, surrounded by nature and with a backdrop of exquisite Horizon vessels.

Between courses, guests can try their hand at paddleboarding, jetskiing, Fliteboarding and beach games, or simply savour the opportunity to exchange boating yarns and enjoy the bonds shared among Horizon owners worldwide.

On their last morning together, owners and their guests will be treated to breakfast with breathtaking panoramic views from the elevated site of Airlie Summit – the highest zoned real estate in Airlie Beach, amid the verdant rainforest of Conway National Park.

Going their separate ways, some staying on in the Whitsundays to soak up the sunshine, others returning to their home ports, owners will have renewed their ties of friendship and topped up their levels of ‘Vitamin Sea’.

“The Horizon Rendezvous is undeniably evolving into a pivotal occasion for Horizon owners,” says Mark Western, Director at Horizon Yacht Australia.

“This event allows owners to make genuine connections with fellow Horizon enthusiasts. The Beach Day, in particular, is a memorable highlight, offering a real ‘money-can’t-buy’ experience. Especially after a few years of travel restrictions, the Horizon Rendezvous has become a treasured platform for our Horizon family to express their passion for boating.”

The 2023 edition is generously supported by Highfield Boats, who will supply RIBS for guest transfers and on-water fun. Sponsors include Airly private jets, Airlie Summit, Sanctuary Cove Marina and Club Marine Insurance.

Next on the Horizon calendar of events is the Horizon Open House, to be held at the company headquarters in Kaohsiung in March 2024, followed by the Horizon Worldwide Rendezvous – the first since 2019 – at a destination yet to be determined.

“These kinds of experiences animate the Horizon brand and introduce owners to a global family who is there for them for a lifetime,” adds Mark.
