Marinas24 – 300 Delegates Register – 6 Weeks to Go!

With still six weeks to go, over 300 delegates have registered for the Marinas24 International Conference and Trade Exhibition (Marinas24).

To accommodate the demand for more exhibition space, and the anticipated interest on the back of the very successful Marinas22, the event will be held at the Royal International Convention Centre (RICC), Brisbane, 27-28 May 2024.

Commenting on the continued growth of the exhibition component, MIA President, Andrew Chapman CMM said, “We are thrilled with the support from industry suppliers who have committed to exhibiting.  We have over 60 booths available this year, a 25% increase on Marinas22 and this shows how valuable this opportunity is to suppliers.  I believe there are still two booths available, so any suppliers who want to sell product to marinas, should contact the MIA staff quickly as this opportunity only comes around every two years!”

Organisers were expecting around 320 delegates to attend, but given current registration trends, it looks more like it will be 350.   Chris Stone, MIA’s Operations Manager said, “The interest is understandable, particularly since the program was released.   The content is very relevant to marina owners and operators.  Discussing issues like the health and forecast for the sector, marina profitability opportunities and exploring current issues such as lithium and insurance, the program provides information that is useful and highly relevant to maximising profitability, operational sustainability and mitigating risk.  I am very proud to be a part of it.”

While there is still ample time to register and plenty of capacity in the new venue, delegates who require accommodation should book now, as the conference hotel, the Rydges Fortitude Valley which is adjacent to the RICC has only 30 rooms left over the period.  Overflow hotels have been arranged, but the Rydges is very convenient and will be central to all the action, particularly the ‘Bellingham Bar’, which is sure to be the conference social focal point.

Wednesday’s Study Tour, which will take in four Brisbane marinas & shipyards, and the Superior Jetties Soiree Gala at Howard Smiths Wharf are also filling fast and those wishing to attend these events are advised to register now at www.Marinas-24.com.

A must attend event for marina owners, operators and suppliers, Marinas24 opens with the traditional Welcome Reception on the evening of Sunday 26 May on the Plaza of the RICC.  The event remains the most efficient and effective way to meet with suppliers and see the latest range of products and services available on the market, network with industry colleagues and learn about the latest industry, trends, ideas and issues.
