On Tuesday 6 May, the industry gathered to celebrate the best of the best in the 2025 Nautilus Marine Insurance Marina of the year awards.
In this series, we celebrate the those that were recognised as finalists and winners of each award.
Commercial Marina of the Year Under 140 boats
Winner – Jones Bay Superyacht Marina
This iconic gem is nestled in the heart of Pyrmont village just minute’s walk from Sydney’s CBD. A superyacht ready marina is in a very sheltered area of the harbour that has deep water and good visibility entering and leaving the marina.
The marina can accommodate vessels from 20 to over 100 metres, whether they be sail or motor. The new state of the art facility with floating superyacht berths with upscaled shore power connections from 32amp to 500amp. There is an innovative in-berth black water pump out system that means those berthing no longer have to move to different docks. Onsite there is also something for every customer, from dining and restaurants, a gym for the superyacht crew, good access for trades & delivery.
The marina proudly holds Gold Anchor and Superyacht Ready accreditation and just signed the 2025 Marine Sustainability Pledge. Management through Scope Marine’s GM Nairn Johnson who is also a CMM and the sites Marina Manager Scott Cotton, a CMO.

Finalist – Marina Mirage

The marina is both a Gold Anchor marina and Clean Marina and won this award in 2023. The marina comes under the management of GC Marine and its Marina Manager Brett Smitt is joining in on his first IMM course later in the year.
