The Australian International Marine Export Group (AIMEX) and the Australian Commercial Marine Group (ACMG) have announced the international release of the 2026 Australian Marine Industry Directory to a global audience at Metstrade, the world’s largest marine equipment trade show.

The Directory serves as the leading reference for Australia’s commercial and export marine sectors, highlighting the nation’s world-class capabilities, innovative technologies and contributions to the global marine industry. Featuring detailed insights into Australia’s marine innovation and industry achievements, the publication includes an extensive A–Z listing of over 100 premier Australian suppliers, connecting global buyers and partners with the best of Australian marine excellence.
The 2026 Directory cover showcases Norman R. Wright & Sons 12-metre XLW Class IPS Drive Patrol Vessel, designed and built for the NSW Police Force. These vessels earned Wrights the 2025 Australian Marine Industry Award for Commercial Project, Design or Manufacturer, recognising the company’s long-established commitment to innovation and excellence in vessel design and construction.
Also celebrating achievements in the commercial sector, a feature on Aus Ships Group announces the delivery of the Yasawa III inter-island ferry for Fiji’s Yasawa Islands. This landmark project represents the largest passenger ferry ever built for Fiji, the largest single design and build by Aus Ships Group and the biggest capital investment in the history of Fiji Holdings Ltd South Sea Cruises Group.
Also on the design and build front, Riviera Australia celebrates its team of more than 950 skilled craftspeople who have contributed to their single largest shipment ever of 15 Riviera motor yachts to the U.S., believed to be the largest ever number of vessels loaded onto a single cargo ship worldwide.

In marine product innovation, Tasmanian-based Tidetech demonstrates how the company has become a global leader in ocean intelligence, combining deep scientific knowledge with real-world maritime experience to deliver data-driven solutions to their clients who range from racing yachts to commercial vessels and cruise ships. First Mate also features in the Directory, showcasing their App that centralises essential boat ownership records, including service histories, warranty schedules and safety checklists, into one secure platform.
Equipment manufacturers covered in the Directory include VEEM, who unveil their Mark III Gyro Stabilizer representing a significant advancement in stabilisation technology. In addition, Marine Structures highlights their impressive portfolio of projects, including a $41 million upgrade of the Southern Moreton Bay Islands Ferry Terminal in conjunction with the Queensland Government, demonstrating expertise in delivering large-scale marine construction projects.
Also featured in the Directory is Banks Events, the creative force behind Sydney’s iconic harbour celebrations, including Australia Day, Handa Opera, Vivid Sydney and New Year’s Eve Fireworks. Working with ACMG to manage vessels on the Harbour for such events, Banks continue to combine innovation and storytelling to create unforgettable experiences on Sydney Harbour.
The 2025 Australian Marine Industry Award winners are featured and through this we meet Mackenzie Janes, a third-year Mobile Plant Mechanic at Sydney’s Onboard Engineering. Mackenzie is the recipient of the Apprentice of the Year Award and in recognition of his achievement, Mackenzie will join the Australian delegation travelling to Metstrade in Amsterdam. This award exemplifies AIMEX’s ongoing commitment to fostering the next generation of talent within the marine industry.
The Directory confirms that the third edition of the Australian Commercial Marine Conference will take place on 29 July 2026, building on the success of previous events. Bringing together industry leaders, the conference provides a platform to share insights, foster collaboration and showcase innovation.
