The South Australian Government has expanded its coastal webcam network, bringing nine new cameras online across key metropolitan and Fleurieu Peninsula locations. The network is designed to provide recreational boaters and beachgoers with real-time visibility of sea and beach conditions, supporting safer decision-making on the water and along the coast.

According to the government, the additional cameras will deliver live views of prevailing conditions and help users monitor the impact of the current algal bloom. The sites were identified in collaboration with Surf Life Saving South Australia and local councils to ensure coverage of suitable, high-use coastal areas.
The newly activated cameras stretch along the coast from North Haven to Goolwa, with live streams now available at:
- North Haven Beach
- Semaphore Park Beach
- Glenelg North Beach
- Glenelg Beach
- Brighton Beach
- Seacliff Beach
- O’Sullivan Beach
- Port Elliot Beach
- Goolwa Beach
The government has indicated the network will continue to grow, with more camera locations scheduled to be installed in early 2026.
Live streams can be viewed via the South Australian Government’s
web camera page or through Surf Life Saving Australia’s Beachsafe app.
Further information on the algal bloom is available via the Algal Bloom Update website, alongside other state initiatives supporting recreational boaters.
