The new Hanse 461 represents the next chapter in Hanse’s celebrated performance cruising story.
Built around the brand’s core DNA of easy sailing, fast cruising, innovative design and individual customisation, the 461 brings together a modern hydrodynamic hull, performance-focused rig, generous cockpit, maximised interior volume and a sleek new profile with unmistakable Hanse heritage.
The Hanse 461 continues the brand’s legendary Easy Sailing Concept, with the self-tacking jib and all relevant lines led back to the helm. Setting sails, tacking and reefing can be managed from the cockpit, making the yacht highly suitable for short-handed sailing, couples and owner-operators.
A standout feature is the integrated Beach Club at the stern, transforming the back of the yacht into a private waterside living area with an enlarged bathing platform, comfortable seating and a swim ladder with extra-deep steps for safe and easy access to the water.
Below deck, the Hanse 461 offers a bright, loft-like interior with a strong focus on natural light, ventilation and flexible living. With up to 24 openable windows and hatches, the yacht has been designed for maximum cross ventilation in every cabin, creating a comfortable onboard climate even without air conditioning.
The interior also offers extensive customisation, including multiple cabin layouts, a versatile saloon, a fullsize galley, generous owner’s cabin options, separate shower configurations and up to 48 distinct layout configurations. The design philosophy is simple: owners do not adapt to the yacht – the yacht is built to fit them.
Performance remains central to the 461. The brochure highlights a total sail area of 111 sqm, plus a 164 sqm gennaker, with VPP figures showing strong performance across multiple angles in 14 knots of true wind. The result is a new design signature for Fjord, combining open-air performance, social deck space, advanced technology and unmistakable Scandinavian-inspired styling.
At the stern, the Fjord 440 Open introduces an electrically transforming aft bench that rises to become a backrest, turning the cockpit and sun lounge into one large social living space. An electric swim ladder extends into the water for easier access, while the redesigned T-top integrates electric side shades and an extended rear sunshade to provide flexible protection from the elements.
The helm has also been completely reimagined, with a supercar-inspired dashboard featuring twin 19- inch Volvo displays, creating a clean and connected command centre. A newly developed driver’s seat has been created specifically for Fjord, offering a higher level of ergonomics, support and comfort underway.
Below deck, the Fjord 440 Open introduces a major interior transformation, with Design Unlimited engaged to elevate the quality, finish and atmosphere of the accommodation. This brings a more refined and contemporary feel to the model, while retaining the bold character and lifestyle focus that Fjord owners expect.
