Exhibitor applications have opened earlier than ever for the 2027 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS), with marine and lifestyle brands invited to be part of the 38th edition of Australia’s premier marine lifestyle event.

The 38th SCIBS will return to Sanctuary Cove on the Gold Coast from 20-23 May 2027, bringing together the biggest names in boating and marine lifestyle across four days of launches, displays, demonstrations and industry activity.
Applications open from today, Tuesday 18 August, providing opportunities across SCIBS’ extensive on-water and land-based footprint for established international marques, Australian manufacturers, emerging marine businesses and premium lifestyle brands. With SCIBS selling out in successive years, prospective exhibitors are encouraged to apply early.

Mulpha Events General Manager – Events & Partnerships Corey Rattray-Wood said opening applications earlier than ever gives businesses more time to plan their presence at one of the most important dates on the marine industry calendar.
“SCIBS is where the marine industry comes together to launch new products, meet buyers, connect with customers and do business, and each year we see extraordinary demand from brands wanting to be part of the Show,” Mr Rattray-Wood said.
“Opening applications earlier gives businesses more time to think about how they want to show up at Sanctuary Cove and make the most of the opportunity.
“After successive sold-out events and what many across the industry regarded as one of our strongest Shows yet in 2026, we’re expecting demand to be even bigger in 2027. Whether you’re a long-standing SCIBS exhibitor or a brand considering the Show for the first time, we encourage you to get your application in early.”

The numbers behind SCIBS demonstrate the scale of the opportunity.
Independent research commissioned by Tourism and Events Queensland found SCIBS 2026 generated $23.3 million in direct and incremental expenditure across Queensland, including $21.3 million on the Gold Coast – an 85 per cent increase since 2024. The Show attracted over 41,000 attendees and exhibitors, including 9,383 from interstate and overseas, with international visitors from 28 countries, while generating more than 32,700 visitor nights on the Gold Coast and prompting more than one in four visitors to extend their Queensland stay.
The commercial impact of SCIBS is even greater, with research by Griffith University estimating well over $400 million in exhibitor sales and orders generated from the Show.
SCIBS offers exhibition opportunities across its extensive on-water and land-based footprint, spanning superyachts and luxury vessels, power and sail, trailer boats, personal watercraft, fishing and water sports, marine technology, equipment and premium lifestyle brands. It provides exhibitors with a platform to reach an engaged audience of buyers, boating enthusiasts and industry decision-makers at one of the most important events on the Australian marine calendar.
