LOYAL returns to the 2026 Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race – new naming rights sponsor!

Businessman and philanthropist Anthony Bell OAM’s LOYAL campaign is returning to the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race, renewing one of the ocean’s most compelling rivalries and bringing its distinctive combination of elite sailing, high-profile personalities and charitable purpose back to Australia’s most iconic offshore sailing event.

The 2026 campaign’s NEW naming rights sponsor, returning “super-sailors” and campaign partners was officially unveiled at a full Media Call & VIP Launch at The Deckhouse, Woolwich, on Tuesday 27 October 2026 with all media and the racing fraternity invited to attend.

The campaign will once again support the Humpty Dumpty Foundation, continuing LOYAL and the LOYAL Foundation’s commitment to raising funds for life-saving medical equipment for children in hospitals across Australia.

Anthony Bell OAM, LOYAL’s team founder, owner and skipper, has twice secured line honours in the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race. In 2011, aboard Investec LOYAL, he defeated Wild Oats XI by just three minutes and eight seconds. Five years later, Perpetual LOYAL claimed line honours in a then-record-time of one day, 13 hours, 31 minutes and 20 seconds – cutting four hours, 51 minutes and 52 seconds from the previous race record.

The 2026 campaign will bring together a new generation of supporters alongside familiar faces from LOYAL’s celebrated history.

“Team LOYAL is delighted to have the support of Tribeca, one of Asia Pacific’s leading investment and financial advisory firms, for the 2026 Rolex Sydney to Hobart. Without their support we just wouldn’t be on the water pursuing our cause. Australian owned and headquartered, Tribeca shares our commitment to excellence, integrity and philanthrophy ensuring our legacy origins since 2009 continue into the future,” announces TRIBECA LOYAL Founder/Owner/Skipper, Anthony Bell OAM.

Returning to the campaign as confirmed TRIBECA LOYAL “super sailors” are Anthony Minichiello, former Sydney Roosters captain and NRL premiership-winning captain, who played 11 State of Origin matches for New South Wales and 19 Tests for Australia; Phil Waugh, former Wallabies captain, 79-Test veteran and current Rugby Australia Chief Executive Officer; and Tom Slingsby OAM, Olympic gold medallist, 9-time world champion, America’s Cup winner, three-time Rolex SailGP champion and three-time Rolex World Sailor of the Year.

Tribeca is proud to announce its naming rights sponsorship of Anthony Bell OAM’s exciting return to the 2026 Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race”, says Adam Lavis CEO of Tribeca. “The Rolex Sydney Hobart is one of the world’s most respected and challenging ocean races, demanding exceptional preparation, strategic thinking, team work and performance under pressure. These qualities resonate strongly with Tribeca and the way we approach our business. LOYAL and the LOYAL Foundation have an outstanding record of achievement in both sailing and giving back to the community and we are delighted to support a team that shares a true commitment to high performance and philanthropy.”

Slingsby OAM, CEO and driver of Australia’s BONDS Flying Roos SailGP team, led his team to three consecutive championship titles in the Rolex SailGP championship’s first three seasons. One of the most accomplished sailors of his generation, he also supported Oracle Team USA win the 2013 America’s Cup and was Sailing Master onboard Perpetual LOYAL with Bell OAM to line-honours and a race record in the 2016 Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race.

The 2026 TRIBECA LOYAL campaign will bring together an exceptional depth of sailing experience, with crew members collectively boasting more than 250 Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race appearances. The line-up includes 10 America’s Cup athletes, five Volvo Ocean Race veterans, four Olympians and an Olympic gold medallist, underlining the campaign’s formidable offshore racing pedigree (full 2026 TRIBECA LOYAL crew list below)

The Media Launch will be hosted by Layne Beachley AO, seven-time world surfing champion and a former LOYAL campaign participant. John Bertrand AO, the Australian yachtsman who skippered Australia II to its historic 1983 America’s Cup victory, and a long-time mentor to Bell OAM, will also join the event.

Established by Anthony Bell OAM in 2009, the LOYAL Foundation has raised more than $AUS10 million and, through its alignment with the Humpty Dumpty Foundation, has donated more than 600 pieces of life-saving medical equipment across 200 hospitals around Australia.

The return of LOYAL as TRIBECA LOYAL to the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race in 2026, brings together the sailing community, sporting and business leaders, plus charitable partners around a campaign with a record of sporting achievement and community impact.
