Marine Structures has expanded its national footprint with the opening of a new Sydney office at Burraneer Bay Marina, providing a dedicated base to support marina, waterfront and marine infrastructure projects throughout New South Wales and beyond. The new office will be managed by Gary Charlwood, who has been part of the Marine Structures team for the past two years and brings more than 25 years of experience in the marina construction industry.
Gary said the new office would strengthen Marine Structures’ ability to support clients throughout New South Wales. “The Sydney office is an exciting step for Marine Structures. Being based at Burraneer Bay Marina allows us to work even more closely with marina owners, developers and waterfront stakeholders. Widely regarded as one of Australia’s most experienced marina professionals, Gary has built a distinguished career spanning marina development, maritime construction, product innovation, business development and executive leadership. Since entering the industry in 1998, he has overseen the delivery of major marina and waterfront infrastructure projects across the country, including the installation of more than 3,000 floating marina berths throughout mainland Australia.
His expertise extends across all aspects of project delivery, from piling and pontoon installation through to design-and-construct management, making him a trusted advisor to marina owners, developers and marine infrastructure stakeholders.
The Sydney office represents the latest step in Marine Structures’ continued growth across Australia. In addition to its Queensland operations and Sydney presence, the company has also established a strategic joint venture with JMC in Western Australia, strengthening its ability to service projects nationally and deliver locally supported marine infrastructure solutions across key markets.
