Whitsunday Discount Marine Appointed Australian Agent for VB Sports Trampolines

Whitsunday Discount Marine has been appointed the official Australian agent for VB Sports, a specialist marine manufacturer based in Brittany, France, giving multihull owners nationwide a local point of contact for premium OEM trampolines and netting.

For Australia’s charter operators, fleet managers and private owners, the appointment means easier access to world-class products, clear guidance on measurement and specification, and support through ordering and installation, without the delays and complexity that can come with dealing directly offshore. Whether you are replacing a damaged or worn trampoline, or fitting one for the first time, Whitsunday Discount Marine can assist irrespective of your location.

VB Sports (Brittany, France) is unrelated to the better-known Australian “VB” products and focuses on a different range of on-water gear. Its multihull trampoline program is trusted internationally, and the company is the official OEM supplier to leading shipyards including Beneteau’s Lagoon and Excess brands, Fountaine Pajot, Outremer, Orc, Nautitech, Neel, Balance and MODX. VB Sports also holds shipyard plans for Lagoon, Excess, Fountaine Pajot, Outremer, Orc, Nautitech, Neel, Balance and MODX, and can manufacture trampolines to custom measurements for other builds.

Whitsunday Discount Marine principal Bruce Goldman recently visited VB Sports’ workshop near Quimper in western France, observing the company’s quality systems and hands-on approach. Each trampoline is hand-finished, with netting produced in Italy to ensure consistent, premium craftsmanship. VB Sports’ appointment of Whitsunday Discount Marine reflects the strong concentration of multihulls in the Whitsundays’ charter and private sailing sectors, where more than 40 per cent of Whitsunday Discount Marine’s multihull-related sales are to vessels with a Whitsunday homeport.

VB Sports has delivered more than 29 trampolines to date for Lagoon, Fountaine Pajot, Nautitech and a range of custom builds, and the local agency model is designed to streamline the process for Australian customers. Whitsunday Discount Marine facilitates purchases with minimal correspondence and provides guidance on measuring principles and installation considerations, including fixing preferences such as Z-lacing or point-to-point lacing, gap tolerances and owner experience.

The knotless netting is treated with a Ciba Geigy UV stability coating rated to 600 KLY, with a high melting point of 220°C. Bolt rope is three-strand polyester, triple overlocked with anti-chafing polyethylene, and kits include free 6mm or 8-plait polyester lacing line (white or black) plus 500mm cable ties to secure edges. The manufacturer holds ISO certification.

Catamaran and multihull trampolines start from $900, delivered in approximately four weeks.
