Ronstan International has expanded its deck hardware offering with the launch of a new range of keelboat exit blocks, designed to deliver exceptionally high strength-to-weight performance for modern performance and cruising yachts.

The new range comprises four models with sheave diameters from 80 mm to 140 mm, covering maximum working loads from 3,000 kg to 9,000 kg. Developed for running halyards and control lines through spars, the blocks are engineered to minimise friction and chafe while maintaining reliable performance under both dynamic and static loads.
Each exit block features an anodised aluminium alloy sheave running on a proprietary self-lubricating composite bearing, delivering smooth, efficient rotation even under high loads. Acetal ball thrust bearings effectively manage side loads, while hard-anodised aluminium housings provide long-term durability in demanding marine environments. A Grade 316 stainless steel hub completes the assembly, ensuring strength and corrosion resistance throughout the service life of the block.



The range is suited to a wide spectrum of keelboat applications, from high-performance racers to offshore cruising yachts, and accommodates rope diameters from 14 mm to 20 mm, depending on model. The largest unit in the range achieves its full load rating when installed with high-tensile A4-80 stainless steel fasteners, reflecting Ronstan’s focus on system-level performance and safety.
