A major transformation is underway at Jerusalem Creek Marina and Holiday Park, with a three-year marina replacement program set to modernise one of the region’s key boating destinations.

The upgrade will deliver larger, stronger, and safer marina facilities designed to meet the demands of today’s houseboats — which have outgrown the decades-old infrastructure currently in place.
“This is about future-proofing the marina,” said Bruce Vance, General Manager, Jerusalem Creek Marina & Holiday Park
“Boats are bigger, expectations are higher, and safety standards have evolved — this investment ensures we keep pace.”
Bigger Pens, Better Boating
The new marina will introduce significantly larger berths aligned with modern houseboat categories:
- 25ft pens for Category 1–3 vessels
- 27ft and 30ft pens for larger Category 4–5 vessels
The expanded sizing marks a step-change in capacity and usability, giving boat owners more room, flexibility, and security.
Three-Stage Build Kicks Off 2026
Construction begins in May 2026, with staged delivery through to 2029:
Stage 1: 52 new pens + 10 walkways
Stage 2: 40 new pens + 10 walkways
Stage 3: 38 new pens + 6 walkways
Older infrastructure will be progressively removed, with reusable materials repurposed into a protective breakwater system — boosting resilience while reducing waste.
Stronger, Safer, Smarter Design
- The new marina will feature a suite of upgrades, including:
- Heavy-duty construction and anti-slip walkways
- Longer marina fingers for improved vessel stability
- Advanced mooring systems with 50% greater strength
- Modern fender systems replacing outdated tyres
- Enhanced tie-off flexibility and safety features.
No Surprise Cost Burden on Boaters
In a move that sets it apart from industry trends, Jerusalem Creek Marina confirmed:
- No special levies to fund the project
- No major upfront price hikes
Fees for 2026–27 will increase only in line with CPI and operating costs, with future pricing adjusted gradually as each stage is delivered.
“We’re investing in the marina without placing unnecessary pressure on our berth holders,” said Bruce.
Looking Ahead
Once complete, the redevelopment will position Jerusalem Creek Marina and Holiday Park as a modern, high-quality destination built for the next generation of boating, delivering significant improvements in safety, capacity, and overall user experience.
Beyond the marina itself, the precinct offers a comprehensive range of on-site facilities, including a bar and bistro, mini supermarket, fuel outlet, and a fully stocked fishing and outdoor tackle store.
Together, these amenities create a complete, all-in-one boating and holiday destination — setting Jerusalem Creek apart in the market.
With its breadth of features and customer offering, Jerusalem Creek Marina and Holiday Park stands as the premier place to stay, berth, and experience the water.
